Which Gages?

I've got 10,000 miles on my truck now and I'm ready to start upgrading. I'm going to start with gages and exhaust. Which gages are the best match to the dash on the 05's? I also want to change out the muffler and install a catalytic converter test pipe. Any recommendations or advice? Thanks, Jeff

Can't help you with the exhaust because I'm happy with the stock exhaust. I just orderd Isspro gauges from Genos that match the 05 gauges. Should be here tomarrow. Along with the windshield gauge holder. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Some of the best matching gauges are the DiPricol's followed by the Isspro and then Auto Meter's, just depends on how close you want the match to be. You'll probably be happier with a full replacement exhaust system, the stock pipes are small diameter and changing the muffler will help, but it's limited by the pipe size as to how much it can help.

Hey mark

How much is there to gain egt wise changing the stock muffler on an 05? It's already 4" turbo back is there that much restriction on the stock system. I had a banks system on my 01 it sounded cool but too much drone when towing heavy. Thats why I thought I would leave this one stock. I may have a change of heart once my gauges are in & I'm towing heavy & the egts are too hot.

The new ISSPRO white dial red pointer gauges were designed to match the 2003-Up Rams. ISSPRO refers to them as "Dodge Match" gauges. These are the best OE looking gauges avaiable. We have complete kits avaiable in either the ISSPRO or Dipricol brand. I'd have to echo what Mark sais about the exhaust. A Cat back system is well worth it. You can always leave the kitty in the garage too.

We have an MBRP performance replacement muffler specifically designed for the 2004. 5+ trucks. It has the welded hangers to re use the stock hanger and is a bolt in deal, sounds stock till you flat foot it and is also made of 409 stainless like the stock system is.
