I feel bad for this guy...

To me they can Keep the factory batteries There Junk had to replace at 2 y';s old ?????

The OEM "junk" batteries that came on my 05 Dodge are 6 years and 1 month old and still going strong.

I just recently replaced the OEM battery on my 03 Avalon, which I purchased in July 02.

I am like Grizzly, I still have my OEM junk battery's, 9 years old & just had them checked & they checked OK but they did say that with 9 year old battery's I am living on borrowed time.

I used Mopar replacement batterys in my 96 diesel for years and they lasted for 5 years each. Last June I replaced with Duralast Gold and just had one replaced today with a dead cell. Judging from the comments to date it just might be the luck of the draw on manufactures.

Mine are into their eleventh year of service. I bought one from Costco in August, 2000 for my Chevy gasser and transferred it to the Cummins when I bought it in January, 2001. Previous owner had installed an Interstate in the truck in July, 2000. I know I'm on borrowed time but I'm really happy about both batteries' staying power!

I bought my 2002 in Dec 2001 my origanal batteries are cranking real slow now, time for new ones. . I would like to get new mopar batteries since I got over ten years out of these.

Bob,

Interstate is not a battery manufacturer. They are only a retailer. Interstate batteries are made by Johnson Controls.

;)That's why I said they are coming from. not mfg. d by... ... ... ... . and I don't remember who the supplier was back in 02

5 1/2 yrs on mine. Starts great and terminals are still clean. I've never serviced them. I guess I should think about replacing them if a load test warrants it.

I replaced the oem's on my '99 @ 5yrs with Optima's from Costco when they had a good reputation. They were only $99 then.

My bud's '05 batteries are going strong too.

Our '05 honda Pilot's battery died at less then three yrs. It was replaced with a 100 month one under warranty.

Yep, my '03 truck's are still going strong after 9+ years. My wife's '06 Honda Ody battery failed in less than three years also. It now has a Wal-Mart battery made by Johnson Controls. It was less trouble buying a replacement from the local Wal-Mart (5 miles) than driving a 100 mile round trip to the Honda dealer.

I had my '02 batteries load tested (they are 10 years old) and they're still putting out 800 CCA. Good as a new battery so there's no reason to change. Getting the clamps off was a major PITA. The clamps on one side are 7/16" and the other side was 12mm. Way to go Chrysler!

I replaced mine last September, but kept them to use for different projects. I haven't touched either one for several months, and just tested their static voltages- one was 12. 57 and the other was 12. 58- and that's sitting on a cement floor. So much for that old wive's tale.

The OEM "junk" batteries they put on my 05 Dodge and my son's 04. 5 Dodge must be pretty good. They're still going strong.

I jump started my brother-in-laws 08 Furd Powerjoke two days ago because his Interstate replacement batteries were dead. Those Interstate batteries were less than two years old. His OEM batteries only lasted slightly more than 2 years. Maybe the OEM batteries on Furd are the "junk" batteries.

The concrete floor wives tale only applied to the batteries of our grandfather's days. Today's modern battery cases don't absorb through any material.

Factory batteries still in my 04, just over 8yrs and about 6 months ago I killed them dead (my bad) and figured what the heck, lets see if they will take a charge. Charged back up with good numbers and made trip to Florida .

I KNOW they are on borrowed time... ... . lol

I am still runing the factory in my 03 That looks like10 years to me. I will take them junk batt any day!
