Why can't we post a pic more than once?

I have attempted to post a pic that has been posted once on a new thread and it will not let me. I understand this in principle, but it would still be nice to be able to post the pic and not just a link to another thread. I have even tried renaming the pic's file and resizing it and I still couldn't do it.

Thanks,

Scott

Only way i found to do it is go to your User control panel, last option on the left is attachments, Delete the one you want to upload to your new post, re-upload it and ta-da should work. I dont understand it theres gotta be an easier way but dammed if I know about it :confused:

What you can do is bring the same picture into your thread. Pull down the discussion forums menu to user control panel then click on attachments on the left. You'll see all of the attachments you've ever made. Find the one you want to put into your post point your mouse at the filename, right click and then click on copy shortcut. Then go to where you want to post it and in that thread put in the following:

{img src="

then hit ctrl-v on your keyboard to paste the shortcut in and finish it up with:

"} but replace the { and the } with < and > (can't type it in directly here because it's html and will get converted where you can't see it. It will look something like this:

{img src="https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=55209"}

except for the { and } being < and >. That will allow you to reuse the same picture in a different thread without using up more disk and database space.
