The engine saga continues. I spent 2500.00$ to have this block machined cleaned up and the crank cleaned up well they didn’t bother to clean up the main bearing caps then I get ready to install the rear main seal and the crankshaft seal surface has scratches on it trying to decide if I dare just polish it some or do I need a wear sleeve ?

This whole project has Just been an absolute disaster and I mean disaster. The machine shop did the sloppiest half a** job I think I’ve seen in my life . I would have been farther ahead to emery cloth the crank hone the cylinders and throw it together

That sucks! A machine shop is "supposed" to be precise and work/communicate with customers. I guess, unfortunately, like allot of so called "shops" there's just not much attention to detail and quality out there, more laziness and lack of concern. You should post the shop name so others here know to stay away. I hate places that sell you they're the best and you end up with whatever they feel like giving you.

So it cleaned up pretty good but I didn’t trust it found some raised spots on the very end of the crankshaft I had to a little machine work to and the wear sleeve slipped right on . This was horsepower farms in benson Utah . The work they did do was great it was what they didn’t do
