"Go back to hunting and fishing and trucks, they don't leave you regretting everything, everything else will fall into place. " Ever heard of "A hair from the dog that bit you?" as in having a beer when you wake up with a terrible hangover. Well, it works here too, there is nothing better to help you get over a woman than another woman! By the way, like Mike r's advice, maybe it's my age? bg

Sounds to me that she had something going on before you had any clue and the rumor that got started was the excuse she needed to get out. In time you will see how it plays out and then you'll know what was going on. Trust me on this one. She's what is known as a T-girl. Turmoil-girl. She needed to stir things up and most likely it was to distract you from finding out something you didn't want to know. Her new hubby is gonna live out your legacy for you and you'll be on the sidelines watching the show and not get caught up in the meylay. The major plus on your side is that you didn't have any children that she would've hurt. Go back to hunting and fishing and trucks, they don't leave you regretting everything, everything else will fall into place. ;)

I fully agree with you... Although it may not be true, sounds just like an excuse that was made up, since she wouldn't forgive you.

Josh, the only time I've gotten to meet with you is at the dyno event at Ramsey (which we should have again ;)), but you seem like, and you are, too good of a guy to be down this way. IMO, she sounded like a good friend at a time, but that's about all. Put that all behind you, she definately wanted out of the relationship if they are going to rush a marriage before the guy goes overseas. ;) Put it this way, now you can experience the fun part again, courtin' a gal! :D

Take this as you want, now you can go to the next step of your life. Stuff basically happens for a reason. Maybe something better will come out of all of this!

Josh, how did all of this turn out for you?

Wow this is an old thread! Just about 2 years now!

Lets see... At this point, I'm enguaged with a little one on the way! :--) Big difference from 2 years ago. And quite frankly, if someone would have told me where I'd be sitting today, a year ago, I wouldn't have believed it.

I bumped into Lisa at a bar watching a local band. She and I were a year appart in Highschool. We knew a bit about eachother, but didn't hang out. We had some of the same friends and that sort of thing. I had a crush on her, she really liked me in HS. At that time she was in a relationship that lasted 3 years. When that fell appart she, like me had dated a few people but couldn't find anyone that fit the bill.

It's funny how things work out. We agree on everything from Politics to Pizza toppings. I have yet to find something that I don't already "know" the answer to. She's said the same thing about me.

Being we grew up in the same area with some of the same friends, she likes the same kind of parties, music, etc. The first time I had a bon-fire at my house she asked why people were sitting on the couch in the yard, "isn't that firewood?" While I would have loved to thrown it on... . I don't think my neighbors would be to impressed! :-laf

Thanks to all of YOU guys who have given me great advise over the years!

God, that sounds like my bonfire parties! Although I live out in the country, we get pretty wild and there are neighbors, especially across the road. One neighbor said she used to worry when shots were fired or headlights were zipping around my property about 2am, but she would look out and see my raging bonfire and knew it was ok. We have been known to have some killer redneck parties and ride 4-wheelers well into the morning. A good redneck party always seems to involve "something" being thrown into the fire, even if it is "just to see if it will burn". It is amazing how a road sign will melt down to nothing and how big of an explosion a little gunpowder in a 7 oz "pony" beer bottle will make when it it thrown on a fire! What is even more amazing is that I still have my sight, all my limbs and at least part of my hearing after all this!

I would love to party with your crazy @ss!

Congratulations on finding the right girl! I am 33 years old and wonder if it will ever happen!

DUDE! - Congratulations!

Is this the quiet girl that looks like Alanis Morissette and attended the pulls in Osceola? Sorry - I'm just trying to catch up on things here...

Amen to that brother. I never in a million years thought I'd get married and here I am married and also have a little one in the oven (horse in foal - :-laf ).

Matt

Nope, this isn't the one that was at the pulls. She dumped me shortly after that.

She'd like to come to IRP, but can't get the time off work.

Are you gonna buy diapers for this kid or just recycle old shop rags? I bet the kid's first words will be "floor it dada!" Oo. Oo. Oo.

Congrats buddy! ;)

I don't think I'll use shop rags for the diapers, the ones we have at work aren't absorbant enough! :-laf I may use the on a roll type "Shop Rags" for clean up though! :p

I'm sure that will get over ridden in a big hurry! :-laf

Just be sure and remember that Bondo is not diaper rash cream!
