How stupid can you get?

I'm starting to get back to the roots of hunting, I'm looking for old timey wool hunting clothing, and this is what makes it hard I want all Made in USA stuff, no foreign made crap, just good old fashioned American quality. I've located one company that are all American except their wool shirts (Filson), and several others like spirit horse enterprises, and labonville (logging supply co) that sell American wool clothes. I am looking for what all is out there so I can shop around... I was sadly dissappointed to learn Woolrich moved overseas, really used to like their clothes.

Wool is great stuff, Use it myself. Have some old woolrich clothing and layered with the high tech long handles keeps you warm even when you get wet. Dont know where to look for new stuff? Filson is way to expensive fer me. Let me know what you can find. Sometimes there are great deals on Military surplus winter gear. Still possibly "ferrin" made, but very reasonably priced. GregH

I have had great luck with CC Filson products. Their wool coats are so well made and their customer service substantial enough that I am willing to spend the extra $ for their products.

I think Pendlton is still made in Washington

Man, I havent seen a Pendleton shirt in years. That used to be my regular Fall, Winter, Spring daily clothing. I would wear out one a year! Great shirts. Like to get somemore! I cant afford single use clothing. Hunting clothes are worn 3 seasons or when the weather is extremely cold and snowy which we do get at 9000' elevation, for 6 months, guaranteed! GregH

Try Pendlton Oregon. They don't make the old hunting clothing line any more. You can go on line and check.

Did an online check and found the shirts like I used to buy. The cloth is American Made, BUT, they ship the cloth overseas and make the shirts there. They cost about $100. 00 :{. WOW! Thats really steep! I used to pay around $29. 00-$35. 00. Will be lookin' elsewhere. GregH

Contact Woolrich and check, only most of there stuff is made overseas, there are a few items still made in the USA. Just cannot remember what.

Not to offend anyone but they have become to "yuppyfied" and have gotten away from their roots. I use to shop at the original outlet in the bottom of the General store in Woolrich, but since they have gone yuppy and have outlets all over the place they are not the same.

+1, They sold the label, Thats what your paying for.

Lady at store a few years back told me that only the blankets were woolrich , made in PA.
Don't know if that is still true...
