My 95 has 61,000 on it now. I am 75 and I will keep it until I am gone.

I have a 95 Dodge diesel 3500 Scotty Motor Home with 61,000 miles and a 2006 Dodge Diesel 2500 short bed 4 door with 41,000 miles. They sit in the garage never been salt all clean up ready when I need them. I drive a 2002 S10 as a daily driver. I am 75 this month and still going strong I think.

My 97 has just under 300k. Although disabled now due to a clutch/transmission problem it is usually a daily driver. I also use it to pull equipment and a tractor. It still runs great. The body is starting to show some signs of age especially the hood and roof, but I will address those issues this spring. The drivers seat needs some attention. I have rebuilt the entire suspension. Installed a lot of items to improve horsepower and performance. I like my old Dodge. I like the rattle of an old cummins. And it is sure cheaper than a new one with a lot less headaches. I once towed 10k cargo and trailer with the truck everyday. It has only broke down and needing a wrecker one time (and actually that was a friend borrowing my truck). Not bad for 300k.

I have a 2006 Dodge Diesel with 41000 miles, and a 95 3500 Scotty Dodge Motor Home with 61,000 plus a 2002 S10, 2011 Honda, 27 Model T Roadster,29 Model A sedan, 1930 Deluxe Roadster, 1933 Ford coupe, 1935 Ford pickup, 1939 Coupe Conv., 1939 Studebaker, 1940 Ford Conv., 1950 Ford Crestliner and 1951 Chevy coupe. Just a Man with his toys. Dad called them Junkers, They all run very well.

saw this old post thought I would add , my truck a 2002 was driven daily but less now as I'm always playing with it! factory no emissions, four wheel disks 210,000 miles, Got rid of worthless VP and P pumped, and improved all factory issues with steering etc. If you look at a brand new truck you will see complaints as soon as warranty is up, it just cycles as trucks get older. The grass is not greener on the other side its just mowed better!

I've totally rebuilt the rusted out cab, replaced doors/fenders. Currently working on another bed to replace rusted out bed.
I have done everything to the truck about 3 times over, except of course, the engine, which purrs real smooth.
No smoke. Just rebuilt the trans and transfer case. The transfer case was original miles. Trans was rebuilt at 180K, which means I got 200K miles on the first rebuild. Not too bad I figured.

Steering/front suspension continues to be an issue. Considering new control arms bushings and sway bar bushings.
Don't know what else to do to improve wandering condition.

Well having cross over steering for last ten years to me is way to go, the Y set up allows to much flexing in steering system

what is cross over steering system?
would you please explain?
is this an aftermarket system i could install?

Cross over steering is a tie rod from right to left knuckle, I have used Heim ends for years but not happy with them and going back to joint style. You then have a drag link going from pitman arm to passenger side knuckle, everything is straight with almost zero flex. If you look at your arms while someone turns your steering wheel back and forth you will see it acts like a see saw
There are companies that make kits based on your measurements but you have to do some drilling

I am the original owner of a 1996 3500 Club Cab with 85,000 miles. It has never been driven in the winter salt and sets in garage when not pulling my 15,500 lb Landmark 5th wheel. I am 75 so will keep it as long as I am able to tow my trailer.
