Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Need a 4" muffler...

Search function turned up nothing useful...



The truck has an aftermarket 4" stainless steel system - all welded from what looks like a stock down pipe, connecting near the transfer case. No cat, although I think I can get away with that.



Need a muffler for a few reasons:



1. Won't pass inspection without it.



2. I live in a dense, residential area and leave for work early in the morning. I don't feel like getting #@$%! from my neighbors because I started the truck to leave for work at oh-dark-early...



3. Other-half complained the truck "sounds like crap... "



So, I need a stainless muffler. 4" in/out that I can cut-clamp into the existing pipe. Preferably a reasonably quiet one. Any recommendations appreciated.

Check out the Aero Turbine mufflers. . or mufflers by Flo-Pro. . both are very helpful people. . i had a MBRP 4" cat back on my 05 and it had a bad drown. . but once i installed an Aero Turbine muffler up from near the end of the down pipe it took about 70% of the drown down... good luck. . my next purchase will be a 4" or 5" by Flo-Pro or Aero Turbine. . check them out

Check the classified adds. Was looking yesterday and thought I saw a SS muffler for sale for $50. 00. I think it was 4".

Thanks... found it... unfortunately, if he's taking it off because it's too loud, I don't think it will work for me either. I want to do this once and be done and would like to err on the side of caution (rather it be too quiet). Shame tho, as he's close.
