Well a friend of mine, who is also a TDR member, had a turbo question. The truck is a 98 he bought used that already had the following mods installed: 5x25 injectors from haisley, 191dv, 4. 5k gov springs, and the timing was set to 17. 5*. It had a bad trans when purchased, so he had a full billet built by HTS with a 2100 stall speed converter.

The turbos he is considering are a sps62 and the sps64- the 64 is the largest he can go with the pulling class he wants to run in. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Reason I'm asking is there going to be enough fuel to use a 64? I don't know jack about 12V setups and was curious myself. Nick

Also forgot to ask aboout fuel plate- currently ther isn't one. Heard that that isn't such a good idea, and was wondering where to start. Any help??

I have not had a lot of experience with the s300 variants, but with my fuel I was going to go with a 62 and he has a lot more fuel than me. I am sure he can push a 64 no problem, probably even a 64/14. Put a #100 plate in there or a #0 even. look it up under the search.

5x. 25 injectors????!!!!!!!!! those are not injectors, those are garden hoses!! i would double check to make sure that is the size of the injector, DDP stage 4's are 5x. 18's, and they are big injectors. i can tell you right now, if that is the right size of the injector, a sps 64 wont even be close enough to support all that fuel, heck a sps 66 will still be toasty he might want to consider a smaller injector.

I think DDP4 are 5 x. 014, unless they changed it. Lots of guys will run a huge injector like that to use the extra fuel for cooling if you can't run water. I would look at a 64mm variant with the large turbine wheels. SPS or HTT quick diesel.

According to the previous owner those are whats in there, I know that there isn't any lack of fuel and it seems to run smooth. Running around with a hx-35 to test the trans its suprinsingly easy to control smoke. I believe that he is going to go with a sps64. Thanks for all the help!! About the fuel plate, I know that the purpose is to limit rack travel, but is there any danger by not running one??
