Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Magpul PMags

Question for any Magpul PMag users out there. If you had a choice between the Gen2 30 round mags with windows or Gen3 30 round mags with dust/impact covers, but no window, which do you like? I've only used the DPMS mags that came with my AR15, but I am going to add 5 PMags to my inventory and tryting to decide which to go with.

if you can find them buy them. most of them are going for 2-3 times their value right now, so if you can find any at regular price screw the model and just get it.

The getting them at normal price isn't a problem, as I have already secured 5 of each, it's just a matter of which model I want to go with. Just looking for opinions on the two models listed if anyone has one to share.

You must doing your part in the "Boulder Airlift" with Magpul. I also participated. I have some with the window and some without. Some with the covers some without. They both work just fine. The windows I guess are nice so you can see at a glance whats remaining but I never look, when its empty its empty. The dust covers are nice as well but I have been shooting for many years without them. When I was in the service neither of those were options and was not a problem so I guess it would just be personal preference.

I voted for the gen 3 ones only because you didnt mention if the gen 2's will drop free from your lower or not.
If I were you I'd get all I could afford and more.

Yep, the more I think about it this is the option I am going with. Especially in light of CO's new restrictions taking place in July.

Yes I am the guy that voted for gen2 because I am a cheap *******. (I steal the spare roll of TP from hotels)
