I just looked at the broadcast dated yesterday and there are only a couple body models on restriction.
2500 LAR MG 4X4 DJ7P81
4500 QUAD CAB DP4L94
2500 LARIME 4X2 DJ2P92
3500 ST 4X2 D23L91


There are a bunch of 1500 restrictions, mostly specific CPOS packages.

I don't think there would be a Caterpillar in the 3500s. Caterpillar doesn't make truck engines any longer. At one time I built one that would have worked. And even offered to test one in my 98.5 but it didn't happen. We made one inline 6 that may have fit, but I don't know where they build it at. There are very few if any that are built in Mossville IL.

Don't feel bad. I still got my tow mirrors out and am enjoying that extra 50hp and 125 ft lbs of torque. I fell hard for that one. Lol But I have gotten such good info off of this site, I renewed (payed my $35) for another year. I would have never known about how to approach and convince my dealership service center to turn on the chassis fuel heater if I hadn't corresponded with knowledgeable owners on this site. They (the dealership) said it couldn't be done the first time i asked. And it took awhile (some arguing/explaining) and a hard copy of the TSB to convince them on my second trip in there. I was the first one in there to get that done and they were convinced my truck didn't have a chassis fuel heater until i showed them.

Seriously? I'm about a week away from ordering a 2500 Laramie MegaCab. I'm just getting everything lined up financially.
 
If you are looking for a 2015 contact Cooper Motors Clinton SC (just south of Greenville) 864-833-1741.. They have a lot full of TRUCKS!! 2500 & 3500 SRW, 3500 & 4500 & 5500 C&C's, some with bodys already mounted, 4500 & 5500 with sleepers and gooseneck hitches, and 2500 Sprinters.. A good family dealer from 1938 and more trucks than cars on the lot!!
 
Well, I placed my order on the 21st. I wonder why the 2500 Laramie Mega Cab is on restriction and none of the other 2500 or 3500 Mega Cabs are.
 
I placed an order for a 3500 SRW Crew Cab 4x4 short bed on 03/18. Order went in and was confirmed without a hitch... Although, after reading this thread, I'll follow up with the fleet manager just to make sure. I did see somewhere that they cut off orders for all trucks with black clear coat paint (not sure why)...

Talking with a dealer on the phone yesterday, got a price I am ok with. So I was going to go sing the papers on the new truck today. Then at the end of the Conversation they offerd 6k for my truck. Boy these guys realy know how to **** a guy off. Buying this truck has been incredibly Aggravating.

My trucks supposed to arrive at the dealership in 4 days (4/7). So close I can almost smell the diesel. Which is less exciting than my 2nd gen. These new hot running diesels with all this emissions stuff don't even smell like diesel trucks anymore. I'm going to miss that once I sell the 2nd gen.

Yes very hot! My single walled after-market exhaust tip has turned a gold color....I don't like gold color! Silver, no soot color on the inside and gold on the out side...GROSS! So a word to the wise: GET DOUBLE WALLED exhaust tip!

I drove an Eco-Diesel yesterday. Wow, scary quiet. I'm embarrassed to say the sales man had to tell me it was running when he saw the bewildered look on my face!
 
Howdy everyone. I was referred over to this site from another forum and have been browsing around until this thread caught my eye. I currently have a 2015 RAM 2500 Laramie Mega Cab Diesel on order, and the talk of production end dates worried me a bit. I don't believe the order for mine was put in until Saturday, April 4th, so it may not have even been accepted until the following Monday, April 6th. After reading this thread, I reached out to my salesman to see if he has heard anything about it and he confirmed that the truck is in D1 status. I am waiting on a follow-up for the VIN number, so I don't think I am in the clear just yet, but everything sounds like it's good to go as of right now. I will follow up when I get the VIN.

Not only will you have a VIN in D1 status, you'll have a build date too. Go pester your dealer.

I was told that the Aisin will not be offered in the 3500 in 2016. I would guess 4500 and 5500 only and the air ride will not be offered anymore.

Stab, what did you think of the 1/2 ton? My daughter looking at one for next year.

I really doubt that is the case!
 
I would believe the air ride part! Requests for the Aisin out strip supply. So gear up and build more. Snoking
