I think the east coast has it just as bad as the west coast with firearm laws.
IMO NJ is worse than Cali in many ways.

I'll agree with that, didn't they proscecute some one while moving to NJ and got pulled over for possession, and it wasn't readily assessable. It was packed away?
Liberals have the stuuuuupidest logic ever.![]()
and Katoom takes the lead for a win
If it's featureless then it is no longer an assault weapon and you won't need to register it this is for CaliHi Wayne.... the NYSAFE act looks similar to Ca laws. For AR's, if you keep it what we call 'featureless' , do you still have to register? I clicked the "Do I have to register" on the NYSAFE site and when I went through paces. It seems as long as it's featureless, it stays off the radar.
I also saw where they made an amendment to the 7 round rule. Looks like they discovered that a standard 7 round cap magazine doesn't exist, and now allows 10 round mags to be sold, but can only legal load 7 rounds in it. Still sucks.

Sorry, BIGNASTY - wrong.
As mentioned earlier, you can get a pen!
(sorry, couldn't resist that).
On the serious side, you get what you put into it, just like any club. If you want to use their services, you can. If you just want to pay dues so you can be a "member", you can. If you want to pay dues so they can hopefully get legislation enacted that you approve of, you can.
They also send out magazines that you might be interested in - they have several.
Just like this club, you get out of it what you are willing to put into it.
So, no, not like a Union at all....from my point of view and experiences with Unions.
They passed some new guns laws here in wash state a year or 2 ago. Among them was that now, if you (a private citizen) sell a gun, you have do get an official background check on the buyer. If you loan a gun to someone, you are both guilty of a felony. The nra did absolutely nothing to try to defeat these new laws. I think a lot of folks here in wash ended their membership after that.
