I think the springs have changed a bit since mine. You can see the top two springs continue full length. I am very sure the pics are with alt Ride on. Once mine is in Alt I never remove it. Exception was changing batteries or simply hitting the wrong button.

That looks like normal ride height. ALT engages the lower overloads on my truck, and dads. The exception being in ALT without sufficient payload to lower the truck. Mine will stay in ALT when I unload, but the ride height doesn’t stay down due to the minimum pressure in the bags bringing the truck back to normal.

Yes sometime between 15 and 17 they added a single rear overload.

"I just don’t get the attitude that “it’s bad because I don’t have one“ mentality. I’m seeing that a lot lately transmissions, airbags, DRW vs SRW, whatever. To each his own. Let’s discuss the pros and cons not bag on others choices."

Common sense, I like it!!!

Thats my point ,that you resident experts go on about all the time. And Ron you are as good at it as anyone. You have no room here at all talking about someone else's attitude.

Don't forget to measure the height of the RV and put a label by your speedometer of it's height. Pay attention to height signs because the least damage is knocking off the AC and the most knock most of the RV roof off in a sudden stop at a low bridge.

Oh man... have you seen those YouTube videos of people driving RVs under "low" overpasses. Some of them seem to think that if they just drive slowly, it will be ok. Eye opening videos to watch.

I kept a height note beside me when I was traveling with my 43' diesel pusher also. Smart to scope out the route before you even leave for the day.

IMO on the Aisin: it's a faster shifting trans say when you STOMP the GO pedal on the freeway... Less delay for whatever all combined to get the memo and get moving. Guessing torque management to shift, wait for boost, emissions, HO tune diffrences, some delays in the rail design I read... Maybe combined it acts that way. It's tolerable over my 2003 (and antique mechanical injected 1993) that had the fuel on before the pedal hit the floor. The Chrysler 68-69 whatever transmissions were horrible delays in the 18-19's I drove to the point I wasn't sold on buying one. Drive an Aisin and further turn on the tow haul as was suggested and now I own one.

Have you considered going with a smaller RV? Not easy to do for sure as the smaller ones trade a lot of things off. But the places I wanted to go and did go for National Parks (27-28' gets you more open places and spots) and one small RV park wouldn't have fit anything bigger. I can't replace my 5th wheel in the same short length today as Northwood MFG Arctic Fox makes then all bigger than this or you trade down to their lightweight... I asked them when they were coming out with the doublewide RV's that would take two (2) trucks to pull due to their constant Bigger BIGGER BIGGER (Winder/longer).

My older 2003 RV is a flat nose and thus the preference for the long bed. Yeah the SB's outsell them to the point the dealer was going to drop a SB hitch equipment in a LB. o_O

Half of the Truck is probably made in China, what's the point?
China Products are not all bad by default. It's all up to WHO made it, WHO ordered it, HOW MUCH he was willing to pay for it. There are absolute high end products from China that leads the market, Lithium Batterys for example.

I agree 100% that's why I asked Cummins12V98 for clarification. Didn't want to Ass-U-Me

Yes, I'll clarify. It's not that it's made in China, not solely as I still prefer US Made on principle, but I haven't read a lot of good info about it and it's not cheap.

That's a broad statement leading to all kinds of conclusions. Could you specify what you are trying to say?

Thought I was clear??? Some care to know if something is Made In China. Some of their products are Made In USA but NOT 5er hitches.

I can add that I feel they are a low quality hitch based on personal experience. They are known to cause chucking because the head pivots several inches below the kingpin height. They are a pain to hitch and unhitch on an angle at times.

That's a valuable information. So they should re-design their product.
