Ok fellas, I totally forgot that the TDR hosts videos, so I had to split the one I had into two. Here’s a link to the first and the other should be right next to in the gallery.

I just jumped into the media (never been in there before) and it appears if you upload your video to Youtube and then embed the link you can have longer videos. That's how I handle mine anyways for forum posting purposes. Just set it to private ie only people with the link can see it...

Should be a LRE coming up for sale on Barrett Jackson here in a little bit. Saw the preview on just now. Watching it for some background noise. On MotorTrend channel.

Thanks. Yep, I previewed it online, then saw it sell on TV. Nice truck, they got a much better deal at $21K than I did... Three things though: I like the 78 single round headlights better than the 79 quad rectangle, the 79 has catalytic converters, and I like the black interior better on mine than the red one. Still, I would have bought it though!

EDIT: I noticed it had factory air not working... mine too.

Hoping to get back on it this week... ready to complete required maintenance so I can enjoy it more. Lots of work though.

Cheers,

Ron

Ron, How is your ankle coming alone? Need to get little truck on axle stands so can due some service work, fuel pump, will you be repacking the bearings when you service the brakes or ?

Thanks for asking, I tripped and jack hammered it onto the concrete floor. It appears to be durable, just a little sore. Completed 16 PT sessions and have 24 more approved. I have gait issues we're trying to work out.

Yes sir, I'm going to put it on jack stands, pull the wheels, pull the drums in the rear to inspect the drums, shoes and brake cylinders, pull the front hubs, to inspect repack bearings, and check brakes. Replace fuel pump, and install vacuum lines.... only one running to distributor.

And no more tripping.

Cheers, Ron

Mopar Wrenchers,

OEM manual doesn't show greasing bake caliper guides, just cleaning them. Can you please confirm no grease on the guides? Thanks, Ron

I would grease personally.

me too, just in used to seeing enclosed guide pins. just a smidge coating on all guide mating surfaces.

Thanks... still happy to hear more on this.

Front hubs turning nicely but not as much grease as I would have, so re greasing hubs too.

Cheers, Ron

Personally I use silicone grease on the pins, I have no glue what Mopar said, except clean them. Ron, did you actual look at the front bearings, not knowing there last service time repacking is a requirement . Your picture taken skill of pin is super!

Bearings soaking in parts cleaner... tomorrow, I take outside, put on safety goggles and hit em with compressed air. I do have a bearing packer, but still like doing them by hand. I too use silicon lube from Napa.
