Crack in injector line #5

Intermittent starting issue

Careful Ozy, it states that it won't fit 03-09 with the engine brake option...Too close to the vacuum pump mounting maybe???

Yes i saw that at the second read.
But just the option itself was never on the forum here.
At just 20$ it would be worth a try.

They certainly didn't let anyone know it was even available....probably released for the Service side rather than the parts side....

There seems to be even a Kit for the Gen4 out for the same thing.

Why do we add on Lights or gauges if there is a 20$ solition available feom the factory.

Check out TSB# 14-005-12 for all available fuel system upgrades.

That seems that way, and then they wonder why sales are low.
I mean, even if the vac pump is on the way like on mine or yours, we would figure out a way to install that sensor anyways. It just has to be between Filter and CP3.

If you look at the eBay listing down in the other items there is another one listed. Zoom in on the pics and in one pic it has instructions for 2012 trucks. I wonder if they make a kit for later trucks, 2013’s?

After all i found - it's a discontinued product.
If one wants it - get it NOW!

It's really a bad joke that we found it now when it isn't officially available anymore. :(

An here I thought the TDR was up on all things RAM....
lol

Especially after years of talking for fuel pressure gauges, LED lights and so on - and here we have it.
No one, not even the cracks here had it on the screen.
The Solution - available for almost 10 years and now on sale.

One thing is for certain. We do not have a Mopar parts guy looking out for us, or playing ball with us on this forum.
Another thing I’m certain about is that this trinket isn’t the only treasure in the system.

Looking closely at the instructions, it seems as if this part#68156565AA listed for sale actually fits only the 2007 to 2012 6.7 CTD trucks.

There actual instructions clearly say at the top that part #68156564AA (difference only of the last digit) is for the 1998 to 2010 5.9 CTD. NOT sure what a 2010 5.9 CTD is used but possibly somehow or a typo ??

It IS possible that this kit contains BOTH parts for either fitment, but I am not clear on that at all.

I'd be very curious as to what pressure it trips at.
I know the aftermarket ones tripped at about 2 psi. On a '98.5 to '02, you were losing the injection pump at that low of pressure. The "In Tank" pumps have not been too bad in reliability.
I have SPA Technique dual gauge that tells me Boost and EGT. I had an extra pressure sender from when I had it on my '01.5. I wired in a mini toggle switch next to the gauge on my pillar. I can switch from boost to fuel pressure. At 110,000 miles now on my 2007, I have never seen it low.

I also monitor fuel pressure just before the CP3. Any reason I would need a fuel minder?

Just ordered the kit guess I’ll see what it actually fits and how it works. I know on the fuel side, from the engine filter to the CP3 there is not much difference between the 12 and the 13 trucks
