Doesn't matter if in P or N, if placed in R or D, it stalls most times.
Sometimes it "almost" stalls = idling in N or P place in D or R and idle drops immediately to around 500 and then immediately and abruptly returns to idle.
Most times it just stalls.
I've been trying to see if anyone can "for sure" tell me that there's a "Live Data" reader that'll show WTH is happening when it stalls.
Let us not forget that there are "NO CODES" thrown when the engine stalls...
My thoughts are if there's no codes then one of the bazillion sensors is bad causing stall and no code...
I'm (as is Tim) so at the end of tolerance and wits end.
Will be calling Tim this afternoon to discuss if he knows of something that'll display live data and help narrow down/pinpoint.
Here's something I totally forgot about and hope I remember to mention to Tim, not sure if this is normal or not, but ->
with engine idling the throttle lever in engine compartment sitting on the idle stop (not a stop that can adjust idle) it takes about 1/8 - 3/16ths" of movement before change in RPM.
This stall business seems like there's supposed to be a signal from somewhere to somewhere else that when at idle and placed into gear the idle should increase to compensate for slight engine load in order to maintain the idle speed (800+) and that isn't happening
David, as far as all the wires and connections and grounds I've gone over them (not just a cursory look either) and they're all solid, clean, tight and not corroded.
Thanks
