I think the same here, such major changes just for two years doesn't make any sense.
My thoughts EXACTLY!!!

Similar to my 19 Jeep GC, it's MOPAR filter is made in CHINA. GRRRRR
Additionally, further reports I’ve read on the 7.2L state that it’s an all new engine not a 6.7L ISB refresh.
With a new block, head and turbo for the '25 6.7, that qualifies as an all new engine. Time will tell if I am all wet![]()
I hear you. I see that on my filters too for my EcoD. MOPAR box, China filter.
Right now with the 35 year old spin on filters folks use on their Cummins, you can easily get American made filters.
MOPAR is forcing you to use China filters.
What gives?!![]()

No it doesn’t, it’s an updated ISB 6.7 not an all new engine.
You're nitpicking...do you think displacement is the only thing used to determine whether an engine is "new" or not? ********.No it doesn’t, it’s an updated ISB 6.7 not an all new engine.

As a Gen 3 EcoD owner, my Gen 3 engine is 80% different than the Gen 2 engine. Can I call it a "new" engine? No. I look at this revamped 6.7l Cummins as just that. Another generation that is based off it's existing predecessor with updated ideas.

So a 7.2 would be another update.shoot, I consider them to be the same thing all the way back to the 80's.. its the Small Block Chevy of the diesel world, it comes in many forms, all traceable back to a common ancestor.
yeah, if sticking with the original architecture.. and just a bore and stroke job..So a 7.2 would be another update.
Sorry, been here for 12 hours now installing a new machine to be ready for launching the engine in question tomorrow. I've spent way too much time on this program over the past several years, so it irked me when it's being referred to as a simple update. He has no idea.Be nice.

Give me a break. You've argued with me in the past concerning machines I owned here. I could provide some detailed info on this thing when it launches, but...nah. I think it's time for me to find the 'ignore' button instead. Please come back when you can be useful on the forum.
