Thanks Vaughn. For those on the way eastern side of WA, Dishman Dodge (home of the Big Bob Special--$1000 under invoice) will be installing these injectors. See Josh. I am. George

well george, looks like vaughn answered our questions already... like george said, if anybody's looking for these on the eastern side of washington or vicinity, i (or my boss, craig painter) can be reached at (509) 924-3250. or pm me on the nwbombers site, i am str8 dzl. you can also go direct to the source, dpu, at (509)546-9997, at least that sounds right. i always speak w/ chad, he's a great guy.

I read all the posts again... No price.

So I went straight to the source. Called DPU myself. Was quoted $2000 for the set installed at their local dealer 5 hours away.

I was told that if i wanted to have a diesel mechanic install them, they would ship a set to me for $1800.

I wanna hear a little more about them from people that are using them before I shell out $2000 right now.

But the HP and MPG sounds great. :)

I don't know if I was supposed to or allowed to post a price. I see many thread where people DONT post a price but talk about a great deal.

Vaughn posted the price of the header so I followed and posted the price QUOTED by DPU to me.

I look at it like this... . If DPU sells lower or if a dealer sells for a lower price. It is stupid NOT to post the price. The dealer would make a killing with the all the orders and be thought of for its great deals.

I don't like hiding anything. If I get a price and it is a good deal... I want to PROMOTE the vendor. Not brag about my deal and thumb my nose at others. Its not a competition to me... It is about getting a fair price and not getting ripped off.

I wonder if Big Bobs Special really has the price for $1000 under invoice like mentioned above.

anyway. . I am in no hurry to buy and I think there are plenty of injector companies out there that sell HP products. The extra MPG was a bonus but if I can get 120 hp for $800 from an Edge box or bullydog... I would spend there first and maybe pickup the bullydog injectors as a combined purchase.

Hopefully DPU Or Big Bob gets the injectors down to a reasonable price that it makes sense to buy them and have them pay for themselves in fuel/MPG savings.

Yes I was quoted $2000 installed but didn't ask for the outright price. They don't have a core charge, so part of the reason they are this expensive is because they use new injectors all the way, unlike what is typically done (rework used injectors). I asked him about exchange but he wasn't really interested in the old injectors.

Vaughn

Yes, $2000 is the price, installed at Dishman's. And yes, Dishman will sell us an ordered rig for $1000 under invoice (called the Big Bob Special because Big Bob was the first to negotiate it. )

I figure that 4-6 mpg is about a 30% increase which would have saved me 90 bucks on my last MT trip at last weeks prices. Would not take too long to recover the cost of the injectors. PLUS... according to Vaughn... we keep our old injectors, which is a good thing because the investment can be reclaimed to some degree if we sell our rigs. Add free HP to that. Apparently no EGT issues. No brainer if you have the cash. George

George,

A no-brainer IF its true, ie. 4-6 mpg, 100 hp and no higher EGT's. Frankly I'm still skeptical so I'll wait until a bunch of you guys buy 'em and test them for me. No offense intended, George.

Keep us posted.

Dave

DP... agree completely. So far, according to Josh who has seen these modified trucks perform and is familiar with the integrity of the company all appearances are good for now... . time will tell and I believe I will allow myself to be a test pig for this... . if everything continues to hold. George

george,

you have a message on your cell phone... to others-the big bob special has nothing to do w/ injectors, it has to do w/ ordering your vehicles through dishman dodge. also, dpu must be doing something right, w/ how many vehicles they've got coming through their doors getting these injectors, cuz if they weren't, word would have gotten out by now. just my humble opinion

I have PMed Blake and plan to meet up with him soon, I hope to get an idea of how his truck runs with the injectors although I won't really be able to tell how his truck does mileage-wise. He was running a B1 turbo, I don't know if he still is, I know he ouched one with the TST.

Vaughn

This sounds like an excellent test/review for a TDR write up. I wonder if they'd be willing to let somebody near them (Vaughn?) test them for HP and mileage for a TDR article... Just a thought.

If the claims of 100hp along with a 4-6mpg increase turn out to be accurate, these guys are sitting on a gold mine... and I'd buy a set!

Jeff

Hey Vaughn,

I did NOT forget about ya. I felt like I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER today. I'll give you a call tomorrow, and let you take 'er for a spin:cool: .

The Big Bob special is not injectors!

The Big Bob special is $1,000 below Dealer Invoice on a new truck at Dishman Dodge in Spokane Washington.

You have to talk with Butch and have to tell him Big Bob sent you in order to get the deal!

Here is his email address : -- email address removed --

His phone number is 800-457-6500. :D

Hey Blake... . got my T-Rex Fox's in and they are a nice improvement. The injectors are next. Love to hear your comments on them. We could do this as an article. Gauges, dyno and fuel measurements etc. George

Called DPU and was quoted a price of $1800 plus a $1200 core charge! $3000 to get them down here in Bayou country; $ 1200 credit when they get my old injectors.

Even with the high cost of fuel; trying to make up $1800 with questionable 3-4 mpg increase would be hard to justify.

So Big Bob... we can get $1000 off on injectors through Butch?:D :D :D Maybe we ought to have a reading comprehension test given to TDR members when they sign up:rolleyes: George
