I'm getting a DTT trans orderd and I NEED more power out of my 1995 160 auto.
I've been reading the threads since last week and it seems my next step should be DD 2's ?
I have the TST #6 in the stock location, BHAF, 4" turbo back straight pipe and I have guages.
Once I get the DTT trans in I would like to shoot for at least 275 hp or so. Right now I'm pulling heavy and my towing EGT is 1100 average at 15 to 20 psi in rolling hills at 65 to 70 mph with 3. 54's. If I floor it while empty and hold it to 95 mph I get 26 psi and 1200 degrees with a light haze.
I'm thinking:
16 cm housing to replace 14 cm?
Keep #6 plate and maybe slide it a bit?
Add injectors like the DD 2's, get rid of the stock 160's?
Install a 3K GSK kit from TST
Will this get me 300 hp? Will I be able to use the power while towing with the stock turbo? I know about the KDP and quick connects on the trans lines. I'm going to get the valves and timing checked when I can. I just had the rubber fuel hoses replaced, my supply hose was almost rotted into. .
My goal is to bomb as much as I can while being able to tow my big 5th wheel and not blow the head gasket. I'll spring for a turbo if I have to, my stock one is in good shape with only 57K on it, mostly highway.
