2001 w/flip up mirrors...highway speed "whistle"

I have a 2001 3500 dually with the "flip up" mirrors. I have noticed an on and off "whistling" at highway speeds (this is NOT the turbo). Has anyone else heard of this?

No whistle on my 2001 3500,but the mirror did have a vibrating noise. The black plastic cover at the bottom of the mirror was loose. I took it off and a dab of silicone took care of my noise.

No "whistle" sounds, but I too had the same rattle which I "fixed" with a dab of silicone. I am real pleased with these mirrors--they're excellent for towing wide trailers--much better looking than those on the Ford SD. Now if they would add the power adjust feature... ...
