Posted a while back that I was going to sell my '04. 5 since the payment book took up the whole short-box. I delivered it to the buyer last week. Made my month not to have to write out the January loan check!
I then found a 1995 ext. cab 2500 4x4 5-spd in the TDR classifieds with about 96k on the clock. My wife and I drove to PA this weekend and brought it home. My payment dropped from $540/month to $200/month and my insurance is $900 less a year too. The financial gains are not the only good part though. I had a great time driving it home. It was so nice to hear that 12v clattering. The PO had straight-piped it so even though it was rainy I had to roll the windows down to listen to the exhaust for a while.
I have only noticed a couple of little things to fix. Other than that it seems to be ready for some Mods. The PO said that the original owner had a service center install larger injector, he thought from a '98. It also has a BHAF on it with heat shield. Other than that it is stock.
I plan on tabbing the KDP, installing EGT/boost, 4" rip straight pipe exhaust, 3000gsk, and a #4 or 5 plate. I'm sure that won't be the end of it though.
Can I just check the numbers on the injectors to confirm what they are from?? Thanks guys and it is great to part of the 12v team now
