My 2006 5. 9L 3500 has been giving me a lot of problems since the new ECM (1 year old). Constantly throws the wait to start light with the code P1222 and P1223. The stealership said that I needed new injectors so I did some research and no one seemed to like the factor rebuilds so I bought 100 HP Industrial injection injectors. Light stayed off for about 1000 miles and the WTS decided to come back on. Now it only throws the P1222 code and will not stay idling but if I were to clear the codes with a code reader the problem of not staying idling disappears and the pick up seems to run fine for another 100 miles or so until the light comes back on.
In my research of talking to individuals and reading on forums my problem could possibly be the "Chrysler bug" which IMO it is something with the computer seeing as clearing the codes the pick up runs fine until the light comes on.
My first question is what is your opinion on this issue?
My second question is what is your opinion on purchasing a programmer to replace the factory ECM code?
And in addition to the second what programmer do you prefer?
