My 1995 2500 4x4 listed below was working great. I brought it to a mechanic to change out some brake lines and get inspected. Master cylinder, wheel cylinders, calipers and some other misc parts I get the truck back and the converter is not locking in overdrive off. In overdrive on you can get it to go but I have to play with the pedal a bit and it wont stay locked. Any Ideas? TPS? if so where is it, where can I get it and how hard is it to change. Thanks

Check and make sure the harness is firmly plugged into the trans and it is not pinched or broke somewhere. Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. If the TPS was bad OD would not stay engaged.

Check and make sure all your grounds under the hood and battery cables are clean and tight also.

it will not lock up is that the same as the od not staying in? if so it is the tps. I used to have a 1994 that would lock/unlock hunting and the tps was the problem.

in your other post you say the brake pedal will not come back up to the top like it did before..... if it is not hitting the brake light switch and closing those contacts you will not have TC lockup... ... figure out your brake pedal problem first

you are a genius and I am stupid, exactly right, i am not near truck but I be that is it. Now I need to figure out what mechanic did to make brake pedal not come all the way up.
