wheres your wippers Scott??? we had an ice storm a few weeks ago, so bad i honestly couldnt open my door. had to use my knife to bust the solid mass of the handle button then use it agian to bust away and the soild sheet over my entire cab to break the doors free. wish ida taken some picture for yall. it was the most ice id seen in a while. i had sickles all the way to the ground all around the truck.

That is what I had to do with the NEON for the past two mornings. I also had to do that during the lunch hour yesterday to get out and cast my vote in the primary.

I don't drive the trucks in the winter and remove some parts.

Just came back from a road trip and this place looks like shear carnage.

That truck souldn't be parked outside. You better give it to me. I'll keep it inside.

Sad thing is those pictures look like my ride almost every day this winter.

Alcohol in a spray bottle is a good start, but if you use Gin (in an emergency) when you spray it on the window and doors don't get it on your clothes. When you get to work it's hard to explain.

Figure out which way the wind is blowing on days like that. Sometimes it'll freeze up one side of your truck but not the other, provided you park it right. If you park it straight on into the wind its gonna just freeze the whole thing. Thats how I got through our few ice storms this year. Had to get in the passengers door a couple times, but it worked.

Alcohol in a spray bottle, eh? At least if it doesnt work you can just drink your misery away then. Just seems like an awful waste of good alcohol.

A coating over the spare rigs...

The snow has melted quite a bit but we a a little around the spare rigs... :)

91 3/4 ton 'burb only some surface rust on the roof. Runs but gutless CA350

80 W300 6 wheel dodge military ambulance 360 auto, kind of rare. Runs w under 10K miles.

these were taken a month ago, about 1/8th inch... today is the 17th anniversary of the great ice storm of 1991 in rochester ny, upwards of 1. 5 inches of ice covered EVERYTHING..... it was a long few weeks doing things by candlelight!

I dodged the bullet again! :D It was rain when I woke up. 20 minutes north they had 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice on everything!

I must live right! ;)

Do people actually live where there's Ice and Snow? and I thought one only saw that on Christmas Cards. (correction for P/C folks, Holiday Cards. ) (now smile!)

Wow Scott! Is that shredded coconut? Great for desserts and stuff. :-laf That kind of cold is incomprehensible in my neck of the woods. Drive safely.

Aloha,

Matt

Here is mine on ice but it is from last February. It is all melted by now :-laf

It was actually melted in about an hour, it was only California snow.

I cant find the pictures, but For about a month i have 2 feet of snow on top of my truck. THe bed was full past the bed rails. we got an average aof 12" every night for 2 weeks strait. Every morning, go out to the truck on top of 5 feet of snow. shoel off the hood, shovel off the path to get around to the truck, start truck up, get stuck int he drive way a few times, then finally get to the pavment 50 feet away... i love snow!

Now looks like Ohio is getting lots of snow. My daughter lives in South Oklahoma and got a bunch of snow. Right now I'm watching ice form on everything.

Maybe global warming was too good to be true.
