Y2K 2500 4X4 15K miles. Dealer said normal. Fixed myself with over center gearbox adjustment. Fine now.

My 98 3500 had the problem. Dealer replaced everything in front end at about 20,000 mi. including steering box... was about 85% better, went back in about 3000 miles later and several front end components, trackbar and others, were replaced again and this finally fixed it 100%... Dealer said bad replacement parts(What they should have said is we've got to keep replacing bad parts till we find a good one!) Truck was just as nice when I traded for 2001. 5 2500 last month when it had 50000. on odometer... 1200 miles on new ride and keeping my fingers crossed... Make the dealer fix it till it's right, don't take any crap from them!
