Air Tabs

Finally installed my air tabs on my shell. I put 13 across the top.

I sure hope it keeps the rear window clean. If I get better milage,

that's icing on the cake.

Installed 88 of them today on the Sunnybrook... ..... Will try and get pics a little later, and will have results to post after we return from a 3000 mile trip.

I installed 68 of them on my 28' trailer about a month ago & drove 2600 miles. No difference in MPG, no difference in EGT's, as a matter of fact I can't see they made any difference with anything. IMHO, this is the only product I bought based on info from TDR that didn't perform for me like some said...

Rain today

Well we are getting rain because of some broad in the gulf.

Lots of rain on the way to the astrodome this morning.

Dirty rear window. Don't know about any milage improvement yet.

Personally I would say don't waste your money.

I installed them on my 33ftAutomate.

Alongwith the EZ Edge my towing mileage went upat least 1 mpg. The big thing i noticed was handling. Much less sway when being passed by 18 wheelers.

I don't have enough room to install them on the roof (end cap) without actually installing them on the rubber portion of the roof itself. Not sure if they'll stay put there...

I was thinking about installing them on my Sunnybrook, but I'm wondering if they will work as advertised on the right side of the trailer. The right side has the awning attached to it, and the rear attachment strut is about 2. 5' in front of the back of the trailer. I would think the air would be disturbed from the strut enough that it might not work too good on the right side(turbulent air over the airtabs). I guess I'll wait for more feedback.

5Th wheel. I installed them on the capbutting to the seam.

On the sidesI cut to fit as long as it did not disturb the air channel.

I was wondering the same thing with my Sunnybrook. If it wasn't for the location of the awning support in the back, I would be more interested in trying the airtabs. I think they would help in my situation: I had the axles flipped AND have the spring plates adjusted to the second highest of the three holes to get enough clearance over the bed rails. Between the fiver's ride height and the fact the roof stays flat instead of tapering towards the back, I'm punching a big hole in the air and leaving a big vacuum at the back of the trailer. The air tabs would probably help with mileage in my case.

I put them on my topper (painted them to match) across the top and down both sides. They do seem to keep the window clean. You will STILL get water on your window when it's wet but it doesn't get dirty like it did. I saw NO fuel milage increase at all. I haven't pulled anything to see what effect it would have on a trailer. My problem with them is that their UGLY! I thought they looked kind of "tech-ish" until l had to follow my wife in another vehicle while she drove my truck for about 200 miles last weekend. They looked like some kind of growth on my topper. I don't know about their benefits while pulling a large trailer, but needless to say, they are not on my truck now.

I installed about 80 on my Teton and one thing I noticed, brought to my attention from a buddy following me, there is a lot less turbulance behind. It does seem to slip through the air a little cleaner and the milage seems to be about 1/2 mile better. Still I get the road grime on the ledge the Teton has just below the window. I was hoping that would go away. It's still there. I installed across the top, down the sides, and under the rear cap. 5 on the heat pump up top.



To me the big difference I see is a more stable tow.



Maybe someone who know's these things( designed) will see this and let us know how to use um.

Put them on my Northern Light 28' gooseneck combination trailer. The trailer pulls even better than before and there is a ton loss mud etc on the back gate. Mileage "appears" to be a little better. Lack of mud and better pull make it worth the cost imho.
