Fuel treatment

C. D. ay,

Check out Amalgamated fuel treatment, the company is located in FT Wayne, IN. It runs about $55 for a 5 gal pail which will last at least a year. Good stuff, been running it for a few years now with great performance.

Thanks guys - - - Its probably pretty good advise to look for something else - - - I did pick up a couple of jugs of Howes this PM, and will probably take the GUNK back

AMSOIL makes their ULSD and biodiesel compatible Cold Flow. 1 16 oz bottle treats 80 gallons, so 2 tanks per bottle. Very affordable, too.

DD, What concentration of biodiesel works with Cold Flow... b10. . b20? We can get B10 in Idaho but I shy away from it when the temps get near freezing.

The state of MN. did some testing , and with the recomened amount [ info on bottle ] the gell point perty much dublicated , b 20 added to winter mix , the normal 50 % #1 /50 % #2 with anti gell .
The only reason I do not use during winter is becouse of b100 is in a above ground tank , so too thick to put in truck tank to blend to b20 , in warm weather I blend 1/3 bio 2/3 #2 , at that point we seem to get the best performance , more that b33 , and seems to start to decline .
I wish I had acess to dyno for setting up the Cummins for the highest b blend that the eng. will perform with , playing with injector tips / holes , timing , ect.

We've used Cold Flow to cut and ungel B100. It works. I'd say for B20 to double the dose. 1 16oz bottle per 40 gallon tank rather than 8 oz per 40 gal tank.

mhenon - - - sorry I can't answer your question - - - we don't have much bio in this area, (NE Ohio) and what we have is $. 25-. 40/gallon higher than dino fuel. Since I make a living with my truck, i don't buy very often.
