I thought I heard my name being called.

Well, yes, I'm stock in the power dept. I have trans, boost, egt, and fuel pressure gauges, and an altered exhaust. :D But all with stock power.

I'm with Garrett - I'd prefer to do the transmission before turning up the power. I'd like to see how far the stock transmission will take me. After that, the gloves will come off. :D

Oh yeah, I also yanked the silencer ring when I was bored at the inlaws. Along with that silly boot being gone from the airbox, that really makes the turbo sound good.

Mechanically 100% stock for the next 97,800 miles. Then the better half told me to trade her car in on a new truck for myself, she will "take my old truck" and let the BOMBing begin.

I have added some cosmetic/functional accessories though ( see sig)

Picked up my '01 HO from a member in arizona and drove it back to santa barbara two days ago... joined TDR... been lurking and reading the Registry for two years and when the Ford F250 sold it was Cummins time... totally stock and before driving the truck I had a long list of "must do's"... not anymore..... the truck towed a fifth wheel for most of it's 24K and is totally broken in... . burns no oil, got 19mph across the desert when it was 124 in Palm Springs... . it's going to spend its life towing a single axle boat trailer--3000# max--somebody tell me what i need to change! When I realised I couldn't do without a Cummins I went down to the AAA a year ago and got "Clessie" for a licence plate... ... should be an ice-breaker... ... road trip city dude.....

Ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was stock about 20K miles. If you really want to stay stock, don't ever drive a bombed truck beause your truck may feel like a dog.

Bruce, welcome to the TDR. Sounds like you are set and don't need to change one thing.

I was stock for about 4K. Then I finally mustered up the courage to install a bug deflector and a billet grille insert.

Since that went so well, I decided that I could probably tackle gauges, EZ, and DD2s myself.

The power is nice, economy is good. I don't mind voiding my engine warrantee since that's probably the ONLY part of the truck that probably doesn't need one...

Except for the silencer yanked, I'm rolling all stock engine, trans, and exhaust and am very happy with the truck.

I am noticing the difference in power (drop) that adding 35 inch rubber has, especially off the line.

I have added lots of other goodies though.

I want to do the exhaust, but I might never get my wife near the truck then. She likes it with the level of loudness it has now.

And I haven't pulled anything over 9,000 pounds yet.

Stock here as well

See signature below.

Still completely stock engine and drivetrain, but not for long. Will be replacing several front end parts over the next couple months as well as gauges (which are also in the garage waiting to be installed).

With 38/39 front springs, I just couldn't take it anymore and purchased the D25s w/ Bilstein 5100s. With all the praise this combo gets, I believe I'll be very happy with the improvements.

Oh, and I'm at 28000 miles.

Next item will be...

DT trac bar (to relocate the front axle after the D25s go in) and the DT 1/2 inch longer control arms so I can run 295/75s.

Then after I absorb these expenses, maybe I'll consider some 275's or DD1's.

Currently get 17. 5 mpg in town and 19. 7 highway (55-65 mph going over 4 mountain passes in southern CO).
