Anyone have any issues with the South Bend 1947-ok-hd throw out bearing?

And yet again, you impress me.... *That's just another reason why I continue to recommend and install Southbend clutches.... Buttkissing aside, I flat out just think they are the best, just for reasons like this. Hopefully, buying American won't be a bad decision!

Just sent a PO to Aetna For 1000 bearings. It will be 8 weeks for first delivery. They were kinda freaked out that we are going to buy 1000-1500 per month of one number...LOL

Ha! Tell them if they'll be worth a crap, they'll sell even more to us guys that will spend a little more to have better! That's why I usually buy American or German.... it's just worth it in the long run!

Dang Orielly's rep came by last month, wanted to know what he could do to help sales with my shop... think he wanted to shoot himself when he left... grrrr

Peter, Will the Aetna bearing be the type where the ball bearing assembly floats on the T.O. bearing cast iron holder? Will it be the same design as your current one? The current one where the bearing floats seems like a good idea. I hope with YOUR influx of business with them (Aetna) that they keep their quality control at current or better levels. BRAVO to YOU, Peter!

Nice..... Thank you. Looks very similar to the SKF. I like that it doesnt have the hanging, seemingly unsupported, surface like the other version does. :)

Peter, Is it like the bearing in the picture I posted from Timken? https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/257616-Found-a-U-S-A-made-Throw-out-Bearing
If not, I might wait to install my clutch and buy one from you when they become available. Please let us know when the bearing will be available. I am keeping my truck until I stop driving in 25 years. I can report to you how it is holding up. I drove UPS trucks for 30 years, ALL at the time were standard transmissions except a couple of Ford Econolines. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORT! Chris
