This is one of those just to be sure questions.
Truck has Aisin transmission and is ready for the 30k drain and fill but have a question.
Owners Manual requires Mopar ASRC Automatic Transmission Fluid or equivalent. No listing of specs just the name of the fluid and does not list other equivalent fluids since I guess they want to sell you Mopar.
My preference is to use Mobil ATF 3309 and know a number of people have been using it successfully. However, when you google Mobil 3309 you get a number of specs that the fluid meets but it doesn't say specifically that it is a Mopar 3309 equivalent.
How do we know the Mobil 3309 is suitable for the Aisin AS69RC transmission?
What is the spec for the Mopar ASRC fluid that the 3309 fluid meets??

The above is a file sticker, but my 2013 RAM 3500 Crew Cab DRW pickup, 2014 RAM 3500 Crew Cab DRW pickup, and my current 2018 RAM 4500 all have had them. The 2014 was sold at 362k miles, mostly with 3309; No issues. The 2018 4500 is at 365k miles, and has had 3309 in it since 33k miles.

Don’t over think it....and simply use the 3309. Lots of discussion about this on many forums.

ASRC = 3309 = Toyota TIV, and even some other specs.

It’s nothing fancy, and actually an older spec. Not many modern rigs still use it. My 03 4Runner uses the same spec, and I believe 4runners quit using it in 04.

I use Amsoil ATF in my Aisin Ram and 4Runner.

CROW,
That sticker is on the passenger side of the transmission case. If you have a 4X4 the transfer case hides it, it's there. Used 3309 at my 30 & 60K service, no issues. Remember: Mopar doesn't make fluids, they are made by someone else and rebranded.

That Aisin OE# is 05189966AB. The # on the Mopar is 05189966AD and is super expensive at the stealer. I'm sure they're the very same.

My 2019 3500 has that sticker.
