Short video of interstate stupidity

Indianapolis, what to see?

Anybody else ready to break out the stick and string and head to the timber? It's still 2 months away in Missouri, but I'm already getting the itch. I'm ready to start hanging stands and knocking the dust off bow. I haven't been able to cruise the backroads because my truck is in the shop, but I know that there are several good bucks around the area. I saw 5 bucks last year that would have went over 140 P&Y but never got a shot. The previous 3 years I found sheds off of a ten point that was pushing B&C in 2003. This spring I found his right side from 2003. Assuming an 18" inside spread he would have scored 177 in '03. I've got my fingers crossed he's still alive and his rack hasn't headed downhill.

Once September 15 rolls around my truck will be taking backseat to my other obsession. :-laf

No bow for me, I enjoy fire power. Good luck on gettin the BIG one this year. For those who do drugs for a quick high, should try big game hunting!!

Oh man do I have the itch! I've had 5 surgeries in the last 3 years and haven't been able to hunt AT ALL for those three years (3 shoulder surgeries, 1 cervical fusion, and another). Last shoulder surgery was in december and I'm trying hard to get it into shape so I can bowhunt this year. It's been killing me to not be able to hunt!

Already been out scouting around. Got some nice pics of an 8 pointer and his DADDY. Got to have a new bow though. The ole solo cam is getting old. Time for a new one.

What are you looking at getting? Last summer i shot a Mathews Outback at a sporting goods store in Iowa. i put three arrows in a bullseye the size of a quarter at 20 yards. :eek: And I'm an average shot at best. I was going to buy one this summer but that went out the window when my turbo went spinning into orbit. Instead i've got a Super 40 turbo sitting on the workbench at home. :{

If you're able to get into the woods, heart surgery may be next ;) Hope your rehab keeps progressing and your able to enjoy many hunts this fall :) Bowhunting is good for a person's spiritual health too. It gives me a quiet peaceful time to reflect and thank God for his abundant blessings.

I will probably end up with an AR-31. I have shot Matthews and really wasn't impressed, compared to the other bows I shot at the Bow store. Ar-31 was the one to me that felt smooth and quiet. I am not after speed as some are, just accuracy and lite weight .

Who makes the AR-31? I can't say that I've ever heard of it.

The Lord will provide. Actually i think that my daydreaming has cost me several good opportunities :{ Still i've never come out of a season empty handed. Does eat better than bucks ;)

Here is a link for all of you who combine your spiritual side with your love for hunting. ( http://www.fellowshipofchristianhunters.org/ ) This was started at my wifes church a few years back, although I am not a member, I know most of the local members and work with a few. I also cannnot wait for opening day, in January 2004 I bow shot the biggest deer of my life a 15 pt non typical. He had forked g2's on both sides and forked g3's on the left.

I know what you mean about being ready to get out and do some bowhunting. I have been shooting since mid-March. My buddies and I get together and shoot at least once a week. I try to shoot at least 30 shots a day. I mainly practice and 50, 60, and 70 yards. I know that sounds far but once you get good out there, a 40 yard shot is a slam dunk. I got some new broadheads to try out yesterday and I love them. I got 100gr Magnus Stingers and they hit right with my field points at 50 yards. I think I'll be shooting those this year. The Mathews LX and I are ready to do some damage on the local Whitetail population. Come on Sept 15th!!!

Man I cant wait either. Ordered a PSE Firestorm Lite a few weeks ago (got connections with pro staff) Got it for 30% UNDER cost. Just found out its here, should have it tomorrow, let the shooting begin :)
