I've thought the same thing about the cruise but I don't fully understand what you are saying. Would it be possible to post a picture of the fish weight? Lift the pedal with your toe?

If you look at the top end of the throttle pedal, above where is rocks on the firewall mount, you will see the pedal end of the cable in a little white fitting. If you lift the pedal by hand and see the end of the cable sticking out of the white fitting, then try putting a nylon tiewrap in the cable to take up some of the slack and road test. The small split sinker on the cable is so that it will fit inside the white plastic piece like the end that is on the cable now. SNOKING
Gotcha Snoking, thanks for explaining it in more detail. Just checked mine and sure enough there's about an inch. Although I don't fish I gues I'll have to find me a tackle shop!!!!
I will add that about two years ago rewired the trailer brakes wiring in a X pattern with #12 and abandoned the small wire inside the axles. I also installed a MaxBrake brake controller and have excellent brakes now. SNOKING
