i seem to be trashing them pretty fast latly. i was told there are some available that rockcrawlers use that are supposed to be pretty strong. what have you guys used? i dont have the budget to modify the entire driveline(unless its worth it :D ). what do the sledpullers use?

What do you keep trashing?? If you are breaking them, then yes, the OX or CTM type joints might be the best since they use a bronze bushing instead of needle bearings. They are really not for onroad though... driving with these like a "normal" joint will wear them out quite quick.

If you are just wearing them out, a greaseable spicer maybe??

I got 100k out of my greasable spicers and figured they should have gone more then that, I kept them greased too. It was mainly my center joint though that went out. Mine may have worn faster due to driveline angle problems after the 6-speed install. I have since made that better. My cousin has about 300k on his stock center joint. My next joints will probably be OEMs as they have a much better seal with two fine point tight fitting lips so they don't loose their grease. The greasables just throw the grease back out so fast and probably let trash in too. I now have some other brand of cheaper non-greaseable ones in there from Carquest and will see how well they hold up. their seal is no better looking then the Spicer greasable ones.

Add grease to the OEMs if you go that route... they have a minimal amount of grease in them to start... I got a lot of miles out of the OEMs in my 99... only replaced 1 joint in 200k, but the 04. 5 ate all the ujoints by 72k.
