Competition HVAC Memorial in Issue 44?

Competition Engine quit after hard run!

Anyone here running bushwacker oe flares on there dodge ram? if so how far do they extend out from the fender? I had a set of bushwacker extend a fender flares and they stuck out to far, i didn't like the way they looked. Looking for a set that will extend out about 1 1/2 or so.

I bought a set of Bushwacker OE Flairs for my 2001. But, I haven't mounted them yet. It looks like they'll stick out about 1 1/2 to 2". Just enough that it looks right with the originial 265-16 tires.

I'm planning to mount these and then paint on a black urethane to the rocker panels, up about 5", to protect them from rock nicks.

Personally I think the Xenons are a much nicer OE style flare. Although they look almost identical, the Xenons mount better and are much more durable. IMHO the BW OE's are a little flimsy and their mounting system is to be desired. The Xenons use double sided tape to the attach to the fenders, the BW use nothing.
