Turbo oil supply line

2006, 5.9. How to unhook wire harness at valve cover

Well i left the ignition on for a few minutes and I was able to clear the codes. Ran it up and down the road and it drives great. Turbo spools up and back to normal power... Sweeeeeeeet

Looks like you need a TTVA motor. That would be the cause of both of those codes and it starting out in drive instead of downshifting.

Well that didn't last long. Got 50 miles on the truck and truck started vibrating and smoking and loss ofpower. Check engine came on with code P0341.

Can't freaking win

Cam position sensor, a classic.
Check all connections for tightness.
Replace, if that doesn't help you start chasing down wiring issues.

More than likely you have an injector gone bad. I have yet to see a crank sensor doing anything but derate and throw codes if that. The ECM will swap cam and crank sensor readings and engine will still run fine, won't cause a rough idle or smoke.

Injectors were new so I should be able to get a new one. Hope it didn't fry a piston

Went out to tinker with the truck. I thought it was knocking but it's not anymore. Took valve cover off to try and diagnose a bad injector. Took air intake off turbo and I'd say she's shot. Wiggle in the shaft and edges are worn on the blades, you can also see where it's been grinding.
Got a new camshaft position sensor coming and looks like I'll be ordering a new turbo

Took the turbo off and noticed oil in the downpipe. I also noticed the #5 exhaust port is wet and it's the only one that's wet, should I be concerned?
When I had valve cover off and had it running there was no smoke coming from the top head.

That is not a good sign, probably the source of the smoking and knocking that is not there now but was.

Well... I replaced the camshaft position sensor and the turbo today. Truck is still puffin smoke. Its actually leaking so bad it's coming out of the turbo down pipe. Its a greyish color smoke.
Disconnected #5 injector and that didn't help. Popped the oil cap to check for blow by and there is none, cap doesn't move at all.
Needles to say I'm not happy.. new motor with 50 miles on it and it breaks. I'm about to give up on this money pit.....

I read that it could be the oil return line. Here's a pic of mine , looks fine to me.

I took a pic of the smoke.

I also yanked the #5 injector and inspected the body but it appears fine. I think I'll send it back to injectors direct and have them test it and replace if bad.

Just so you know for sure what ar eth enumbers in the quadrants on top of the injector solenoid. Just talked to a guy the other day with new injectors form ID I believe, and, he had new injectors all right. Just 17 year old injectors that someone cleaned out of their warehouse stock.
