Got 'em on mine, and would get 'em again. Some people call 'em Grampa lights but I think they look cool. Also,no reflections on my hood when they're on.
Any one seen the funky cab lights on the Chebbies? ( This is proof they don't drug test the design team over there!! ) #ad

Gotta agree with Mike... the new Chevy's look just plain stupid... who the heck on the design team said "yeah, let's go with those!"

I like 'em! You are buying a real truck. It should have real truck lights on it.

Since they came stock on my truck (3500 dually), I had no choice. I prefer them anyway so it didn't matter. There is just something that looks cool about a truck with red and amber lights all over it. You made the right choice in getting them.

It's probably the designer of the Aztec--he got demoted to the GM truck light team!

The only problem I had with the cab lights was when I had an overhead camper on the truck. At night the cab was bathed in an orange glow of the lights reflecting off the white underside of the overhead part. I'd planned on either painting the underside of the camper black or taking the bulbs out but got rid of the camper for a 5th-wheel instead.

My current (white) Ford has the problem of the lights reflecting off the hood at night--neither of my Dodges did this.

Everyone, thank you for the input. I will probably go with the lights when I order this fall.

Personally, I don't like the looks of the cab lights UNLESS they are on a 3500... anything else is just wannabee. JMO

In fact, if my special ordered 2500 Sport had arrived with them I would have rejected the truck!

I added them to my truck too. The hardest part of adding them was drilling that first hole in the roof - OUCH (especially up here where we are in a continuous war against the corrosion monster)! But since I've added them fewer people pull out in front of me both without a load behind me and with a load. Before I would have people pull out of lots WAY too close to be comfortable for me, and it seems like the truck must look bigger now or something because I'll see people take a double take at it and stop whereas I'm sure they would have pulled out before. JMHO.

Add me to the gottem list. I think the mopar lamp placement back on the roof curve blocks hood reflection, and that's running night, snow, fog. Cool or Grandpa, they do help keep high beams out of your face on New England hills-cause folks can see your lites before they 'lite' your windshield as you top a hill! I did replace the bulbs with brighter PIAA's by choice, not need. No evidence of leakage or condensation in the housings in 3 years. Remember , there are alot more gaps around your Hi-Viz stoplight on the back!

Only thing I don't like about them is if you have a cab over camper, they reflect on the windshield. The top brake light also reflects into the cab with a camper on also.

I have them, and I like them. Legally needed on my 2500, because my bed is 80 inches wide. I am not sure I agree with people not pulling out in front. I think people perceive the beast coming at them as a big slow truck, which they don't want to be stuck behind, so they try to get in front of me. Part of this may be the headache rack and wider bed. I notice people coming up from behind always think they need to get around the big old truck too. I will admit going through 6 gears off the line, I am not the fastest, I have only raced a couple of times in 13K off of the line. BUT, motoring on the open highway in 5th or 6th is a different story. Especially in the mountains. These rigs can pull. Had a new Subaru think he was going to pass me coming up the West side of the Santiam Pass this afternoon. I saw his intention, and decided to play along. Rolled on the throttle enough just so he couldn't keep up. Of course I dropped back to a sane speed once we hit the flats on the other side and he zoomed around, probably thought he won. Most anyone can go insane speeds downhill or on the flats. I like a vehicle that has the oomph to be king on the hills too.

Somewhere I think I got off topic, here. #ad

I'm a 2wd 2500 owner with them and would definitely get 'em again, no matter how much John would harass me about it #ad

I do think a truck looks better without them in daylight, especially the 2wds and Sports. It was the visual effect in the evening and night that I was going after. Running at twilight with those and the fogs lit looks very #ad

Definetly would get them again. If you tow a 5th wheel, they look pretty hot with the big old 5vr as a backdrop. Also an enhanced safety factor.
