2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Cold weather

For you guys that live in cold country, Alaska, Canada, Minnesota, etc.



Do any of you guys have any tricks for unsticking your truck door and door handle in the morning after a night in the teens or low 20's ? I mean besides pouring warm or hot water on it.

I coat the weather stripping with silicone spray BEFORE the door gets stuck. I use powdered graphite in the locks and garage door grease on the external moving pieces.

So I guess i would just spay on the rubber weather seal, and around the door handle.

i washed my truck last winter and had my tool box latches, tailgate, doors and door handles freeze. i found out about the doorfairly quick but the tool box latches i didnt find out about until 2 days later on the job. live and learn and dont wash your truck when its not going to get out of the 20s for a week! LOL
