New shell

Sandbrew, you passed me again on 285 above Tiny Town last Thursday (the 28th). I was in the Jeep so you paid no attention to me. The new shell looks much better!! Craig

Craig, I never saw you. Did you try to get my attention? The new topper is sweeeeet. Not only does it match it fits well, the locks and latches all work, it has side doors and built in fishing rod holders. Honk and wave next time. Sandbrew

BTW I saw a very nice 2500 at Sportsmen's Warehouse Aurora last night. Might have been a TDR member had big exhaust and a massive ranchhand? on the front.

Your right, it was me (T-Bone) in Estes. I caught your TDR decal on the window, Good lookin' truck you have there, Tom.

T-Bone

Yesterday (Tue. the 7th) I saw a white 4x4 QC with black fender flares and front end leveling kit going south on Colorado Blvd. between Alameda and 6th Ave around 5:15. I met you at the RMTDR wrench day at Big O in Thornton in the spring but can't remember your name (senility I suspect).

Also, I saw Sandbrew again. You were heading down 285 around Tiny Town, I was heading up tonight about 6:00. Craig

Looking for a guy I met

From Denver area. We spoke with each other at yellowstone park Wyoming around the 14,15 Sept. I have some more ?'s about your ATS transmission, Sorry I'm bad on names if you read this let me know. Dwayne

Saw a QC shortbed black or blue i forget 4x4, in colorado springs driving south on academy blvd near woodman... it was a few days ago in the afternoon.

I keep seeing a Quad cab long bed 4x4 in Loveland. It's red, has a bumper, TDR sticker in back window, and has almost every emblem from Geno's on it.

I tried to flag him down the other day, but I was in my work cube. Spotted again on my way to work at the german deli place on 402.

Who are you??

I think it was me:). I've been driving my dads truck (Patriot Blue SB QC 4x4) for awhile now since I haven't had the chance to put my clutch in. My dad's truck has a TDR sticker on the back window on the drivers side. So does the truck fit your description???;)

Who was it that I was toying with down 285 between Pine Junction and Conifer on 1/2/04 in the red truck?

Had a toolbox in the back with a TDR sticker and a lot of ATS stickers on it.

That was me KBennet!

Hey I saw you yesterday!

I could not for the life of me figure out who you were! Personally I know of 3 people with 4-door SRW 3rd gens but they are all blue.

When I saw yours my mind went blank! You are from Arvada and I talked to you about test driving your truck, right? Cool!

My parents live in Conifer and I used to work there but Friday was my last day. I built decks there and I just got a carpentry/landscape job at The Wildlife Experience museum on Lincoln and Peoria. Also, I come down to the Springs a lot to stay with my girlfriend so guys look out for my red reg cab, ATS, TDR, etc. decals and emblems all over my toolbox, Cummins Power on the doors, and a colorful "Got Boost?" sticker on the upper left side of back window.

I didn't know it was you or I would have talked to you! I turned to go to the bank right as you passed me. I figured you knew me or wouldn't have toyed! What were you doing up my way? Hope to see you again sometime.

Nick

CRobertson, Sandbrew,

I will be looking for you guys now that I know what your trucks look like and where you live.

I am home a lot in Conifer, I live between Foxton and the Green Valley Grill off of Log Trail on the south side of 285 in the valley.

I know of one other TDR member on Conifer Mtn, his name is Doug I believe, never met him, just talked online, I think his truck is garnett red, havent seen it personally.

I should have you two and whoever else wants to go up (down?) for a barbeque at my parents inthe spring or summer, only 5 min away and we have 12 acres to play on. Keep in touch!

Small world!

Nice lookin' truck. I am the guy that you talked about test driving but I haven't put any stickers on my truck yet.

I was with two other trucks heading to Coney Dog for a bite or I would have stopped. We go up to Pine to get some target practice in once in a while and we were on our way back.

I will send you a PM if I am up there again.

I ran back home after the bank for a half hour or so and by the time I would have been passing Coney it probably would have been too late.

Yeah, let me know when you are up there again. Thanks for the truck compliment, yours is very nice also.

Nick

Nick, I will pm you.

KBennett, do you go shooting down past Buffalo Creek on the north side of the road? That's where we go.

Yep, that's the place. Maybe we can have a "TDR shoot" up there sometime. We also go above Idaho Springs in the summer. It's a lot cooler than baking in the sun at the Buffalo Creek site.

I always keep a look out for all these HWY 285 TDR members. The only one who ever sees me is CRob1 in his Jeep. Any idea where the other TDR guy who lives on Conifer Mt is? I am right on top next to the fire station.

Count me in on the "TDR shoot"

There used to be a great little shooting place set up near Harris Park just inside the National Forrest. I haven't been there in a few years and last time I was there the place was a wreck.

After we are done shooting I'll bring the beer.

Sandbrew

Guys,

A shoot does sound like a great idea. Count me in! One question though, I usually shoot at home. What is legal to shoot at the range and are any gun permits required? Like I said, I only shoot at home with my uncle's handed down Mossberg 500 12 guage. Never take them off property. Thanks!

Nick

No permits are required to shoot a legally owned firearm in Colorado, as long as it is in a designated area. We shoot pistols, shotguns, and rifles up there. I have never seen any law enforcement while we were there but usually there are 5-10 other shooters with us shooting safely. The sad part about the area is people bring all kinds of crap up there to shoot at, fill it full of holes, and leave it. Whenever I go I usually bring garbage bags to take out the paper and plastic left by the inconsiderate. Somebody shot a couple trees up so bad they fell over.

Maybe we could go next month when the weather gets better.
