Dad and I bought a new car......

Well after looking at it a couple of times my Dad (Jack in Alaska) and I went out and bought a new "old" car. Its a 1959 Lincoln and has just short of 70K on it. All original and very nice. I have driven it around town two or three times and I have grown to love it more each time. Nothing like cruising around in one of the largest cars ever made... you should see the looks I get, it rivals the smokey truck.

Awesome! My former father-in-law (and my current one for that matter) and I share a love for old iron. Former F-I-L has a '56 Lincoln Mark and a '69, a '70, and a '71 Mark III. He really likes those old Lincolns, and all of them are in great shape. The '56 is black also.



Current F-I-L likes '40's Fords, but owns a '72 Cutlass convertible, white top, white interior, white body. I have to wipe my drool off the original enamel paint when I stand next to it. I begged him to put me in his will as the future owner.

lschultz - All origional except for a few cretive wiring projects under the hood. Those will be taken care of soon so it will be orig. For a motor the beast runs a 430 ci with a single 4 bbl carb. Its not fast, but it sure is not slow either.





tpcdrafting - thats so funny, I was driving around yesterday humming that song, if the car had a tape player I would find a tape but unfortunately it only has AM.
