DDIIIs and EZ...how hot?

I have been mulling over putting injectors in my truck for awhile now. I was set on DD2s for awhile and you know how that goes. So what would 3s be like? I run empty %90 of the time. I sometimes tow a open car trailer for a total of about 5K max behind my truck. But sometimes I use my dads trailer which puts me towing about 10K. So what kind if EGTs would I see possibly?? I want to do injectors not a fueling box also.



My truck has a K&N Re-0880 cone filter

Stock pipe with a straigh muffler(glasspak )with no resinator.

And an EZ box



Not worried about the clutch either I already &^%$ it up

Clark,

Quit whining and get the PEC to go with 'em. . that way you can control the smoke a bit.

the DD3s on 1/1 are a blast and witha little restraint yield very little smoke.



The ez should be fine though. . put them on and don't worry about it. When you tow I'd make sure I set it on the lowest jumper and make sure you get an EGT guage.

Empty I have never seen over 1100° with DDIII's and the COMP in Level I, or with the COMP off its lower slightly. But I have a few more other things then you so take it for what its worth.



I have never towed anything so all I can give you is empty numbers,

I do Have an EGT gauge pre turbo. I was able to touch 1300 pulling a 10K enclosed race trailer when it was 105* outside. I started from 0 and stayed WOT until 85 just to see how hot I could get it lol.
