The only online place I have ever ordered from is Speedway but they have been on back order. Usually I just go to Advanced or Oreilly and ask them to price match the cheaper places in town.

I also haven't shopped for any since supplies tightened up. Prices and availability are all over the place right now. It sounds like you did pretty good based on the prices you posted above.

Considering this Mobil Delvac is a little cheaper right now than what I paid for Rotella when it was available last year .

I think this brand thing gets carried. away a bit . I am sure guilty of it for sure ,spending more time online looking for Rotella , then it was worth . This Mobil Delvac Extreme may be the oil I will stick with as long as it remains available . My son needs his oil changed he just ordered 3 gals. of it too. He also gave up looking for T6.

Just picked up ATF, gear lube, engine oil and filters for all my rigs and small engines. I won't need to buy oil or filters again for just over 2 years, but I'll probably get stuff as I use it and keep my stock at 1 change/years worth.

DEF I'll just watch and see what happens. It may be hard to find in the store but I'll bet the pump isn't as effected, hopefully....

Was at Walmart this AM and only 3 gals of Del Vac 15-14, 1 Gal Mobil 15-40, no DEF and 10 gals Mobil T-6 30 SAE!

Plenty of DEF at the Boise Costco.

They also have a pallet full of Kirkland Diesel Oil in 15w-40

To update my last post, I used to haul DEF. Tanker. I rarely went thru the main shop at KC, the plant there “bottled” DEF in several package types (retail) for many labels.

Tanker has to offload at plant. Plant makes runs of any one customers orders. Then shipping to a DC. Then yet more shipping to retail location. (Many steps).

Conversely, I’d line up behind the Ag tankers and we’d split at the racks. My load was slower fill than theirs (proportions had to be kept consistent). Still didn’t take long. Maybe 20-minutes and done.

From D/FW to NW Oklahoma I could be back to D/FW the sane day. But I usually loaded from rail cars on a siding. Several thousand gallons to any one major truckstop every 7-10/days. Three rail cars = almost (8) loads.

There’s no truckstop shortage I’ve encountered from Texas to East Coast. “No DEF” usually means someone was too cheap to buy the correct $2,100 submersible pump and got the $1,400 “substitute “ instead.

Y’all get some HOWES Diesel Treat and top off at the truckstop. Pump DEF. So it takes a little longer to get fuel?

Get the discount diesel card from TSI near Texarkana to avoid paying ahead and having to go back inside to complete transaction.

Top off DEF every time (works for me the last ten years; ZERO big truck problems by doing it this way).

And quit idling so much. Engine hours needs to be ABOVE a 30-MPH average against odometer.

.

DEF is not available around here right now in the box form. The Walmart in Jacksonville, AL had two whole gallons of Delo 15w40. I have never seen those shelves empty before. Even the turbo tech 15w40 oil is gone, no Motorcraft, no Rotella and I can't think of a time the stores ever ran out of Castrol 15w40. Walmart has Delvac and Castrol online still, I just ordered some for the 2003 Ram. My local TSC is out too, I guess when Walmart didn't restock people cleaned them out, all the 5 gallon bucket are gone. No Mystic buckets of anything. I had to put the good synthetic hydro oil in my Kubota, the dealer only had SUDT in stock. Probably a good thing, the tractors shifts better than ever even while cold. $114 per bucket though....

I’d rather get mine at loves or any other truck stop because you know it’s gonna be fresh cause it don’t last long there with all the trucks coming through.

As much DEF as I go thru, 2-3 jugs a year , 5-7.5 gallons , its a little foolish for me to go hunting a truck stop for DEF . I buy Peak Blue DEF at the local Walmart , just need to pay attention to the manufacturing date ,and all is good . No problem here yet ,just got a jug a few days ago . They did say they sell it pretty fast ,and its been off the shelve at times ,but have never run into that yet .

My RAM 4500 will go through about 7.5 gallons to 9.0 gallons per week

I average about 500 mpg DEF, I get into the 300s towing my 5er, best I've seen is about 650.

Fuel Econ below (all hand calculated),... I think my aux tank threw the numbers off on the last fill up that said 22 as it seems to be an outlier, I think this truck and my driving style, mode and conditions gets about 18 max... I know I could get more if I stayed below 65.. but then Id get rundown on I85/I40. I also almost never drive anywhere for an entire tank without a load, trailer, or both... so there's that

EDIT( That middle dip of low ave econ, was my 5600 mi trip from NC to ID towing my 5er this summer, headwinds on I90 in WY & SD can really suck down your fuel economy, but alas the AISIN and 6.7 didnt care or even increase in temp.)
