DEF - how many miles will a tank last?

At 13.5K I put in my 3rd 2.5 gallon jug...and the DEF tank is stuffed full. I have towed 2.1K of those miles (8K travel trailer).

I just figured out my DEF consumption today. In 24,661 miles I have added 48.786 gallons for an average 505.493 MPG. Of those miles 10K have been towing a combined 33K.

My truck came from the dealer with less than a gallon of DEF. Others will come with a full tank

My best was about 3200 miles to just over 1000 miles. I usually put about 4 gal. I have never bought a container I have always filled up at the pump.

Figured since I started this I would give an update.

5700 miles now at 1/8 tank of DEF. That was with about 1500 miles towing around 6K.

Added 1 gallon - came up to blue line just below half. In 5 miles the "service DEF.." message came up on the screen. Drove it 10 miles on the highway and the message went away.
