Depression has set in.

Couldn't keep myself from watching my Ram go up the road yesterday. That has got to be the hardest thing that I've ever gone through. She didn't give up without a fight though.



2 weeks ago the guy came by and test drove her. My truck didn't like it a bit and went into limp mode when I went to the store after the guy left. She had blown a fuse in the HotEdge harness. I fixed it and all was fine. Then yesterday the guy came to pick her up and she went into limp mode again only getting 11psi of boost!! She fried the MAP circuit in the HotEdge and put on her "Check Engine Light". I just put my hands over my face and said, "This can't be happening to me!!"



Now I've driven this truck for 2. 5 years and never had one bit of trouble until I get ready to sell her, then she shows her butt!!



Lucky for me the guy bought it anyway after I put my other poweredge on it.

Im sorry you had to sell your truck. I too have had to part with stuff. Its no fun. Just remember its just stuff and if you still want to, you can get another later.

Had to pay for college stuff coming up. We put the car up for sale in the front of the school. Every time I went to school I had to look at it.

I had a 84' Toy. I sold her to a friend at work. Once I got my current ride... . I never looked back...

The Toy was a good ride while I wasnt makin good cash, she got me through the tuff times. I wanted to keep the truck but I couldnt see a good reason. Last I heard, its still rolling down the back woods of Louisiana.

Your Ram was AWESOME! You should be darn proud of the trick ride you created!



Although that must have hurt like hello to part with it, hopefully something better is in store for you... I for one sure hope so!







I sure hope the new owner takes as good care of your Ram as you did. When I saw one of my previous 4x4s a year after I sold it I noticed the general condition of it lacking at best, after closer examination, I saw that one of the Bushwacker fender flares was partially missing with most of the remainder torn away from the body panel... just "swinging in the wind", and dents in almost every body panel!!!! When I sold it at 90k mi. it was imaculate by anyone's estimation. At first I was really hacked..... then I figured, what the heck, he paid my price (top dollar), he can do whatever he chooses with it as it is his now. Still, I wonder why some moron would pay top dollar for something and turn right around and take such poor care of it?



I realize the preceding probably wouldn't cheer you up however, the following might; my very next 4x4 was sold to an older gentleman who was buying it for his eighteen or nineteen year old son (his son was going to pay him back). I was really apprehensive about selling this particular 4x to him... or anyone else for that matter, as I had poored my heart and sole into that radical 4x and I didn't want it ruined by anyone! It was extremely trick, with everything being custom made... BY ME! It turns out he lives in the same rural community that I moved to a few years later. Everytime I see my old 4x4 it almost brings tears to my eyes as he always keeps it in pristine condition! It does my heart good. In fact, I met with him several years ago and gave him all my trick dealer manuals/parts books (containing exploded views of everything and all part numbers) pertaining to this rig... along with a bunch of new parts/accessories I had never yet used or installed... and I wouldn't even let him give me anything for them!



WOWZY, I guess the moral to this story is this, you win some and you lose some..... I'm sure the future will hold good things for you.

Like most of you know, I did nothing but haul "Sailboat" Fuel with it and never took it off road. The guy that bought it said he was definately gonna use it. Kinda makes me cringe a little knowing how his brother dogs his '95 around. But it's his now and I hope it gives him years of service and enjoyment as it did me. At least I don't have to see it any time soon as it is 1. 5 hrs away.



I got about $8,000 from the sale to my pocket and paid some other bills off with it. After I figured up the savings each month, I kinda don't miss her as much. I'm now $826 less in debt each month from not having those bills. But it's still no consolation from owning the best diesel out there.



I plan on buying a new CC CumminsRam in it's second or third year (I never buy the first year anything) if finances allow. But to tie me over I'm gonna try to find a good 4x4 12valver beater for the time being.
