i guess it depends how much hp you are considering. It should be wastegated at less than 40 psi

and the seller looks legit with zero negatives

Seller is cool. . I have spoke with him. So no worries there.

I am looking for a SAFE 400/1000 power level. I have snow perfomance water/meth injection coming as well.

I have a 16 non waste gated housing now... ...

To set the gate on the 40 do i just adjust the arm??? or put a boost controler inline?

Should you get it and the part number has an RX preceding it, it would stand for a Cummins Re-con (reman. part) Even if it is a reman. , if the reman folks were good it sounds like a deal.

Good luck

Andy

Personally I wouldn't run a stock 40 past 32-34PSI but that is just me. The lower you keep the boost the longer it will live. JMHO.

Good deal. Which exhaust housing is on there? PDR will PDR you new turbo, they did my e-bay HX-40 and installed the 16cm housing I bought from a member here (check the classifieds). I had everything shipped to PDR, they work with the housing source so they can probably get you one if you need it. I never saw the turbo until it was ready to go on.

Make sure the compressor outlet matches up with the elbow to the intercooler. It looks like the right one but double check.
