Yeah SO CAL my dad went on a trip to FL and hit needles in So cal heading into AZ and had to pay $2. 90!!! The cheapest he found there.

Last night price was $2. 199..... this morning about 10 am price was $2. 239... ... this afternoon at 4pm price was $2. 279. These price observations were at the same gas station. It seems that there are 2 fuel price adjustments daily in the Napa Valley. Maybe they think we won't notice?? Also noticed that a fuel station has been shut down for a week while they install a diesel fueling station. Unfortunately, it is a Chevron station and their prices are typically 12-20 cents per gallon higher than just about anyone except Shell.

Ya'll should look at all the factors; the price of crude oil rose over $1 per barrel on tuesday.

Yes, the price of crude went up over a dollar a barrel, but that oil has to be shipped over here and then refined then the price should be passed on, the price jump that they are bumping up every day is on the price of oil futures(IMHO) the refiners have found a soft spot to gouge some Diesel pickup owner's The 18

Wheeler's can pass on the price GOUGE by adding the price increase to the freight bill with a fuel surcharge! When does it cost more to pump oil out of the ground states side or oil from Mexico,every day? We don't just buy oil from the *******! this is turning into the rip off of the Century, and we are the fall guys,And what ever you do DO NOT mention drilling in Alaska it

Nobody I talked to is running CA or most of the far west now. CA is a double whammy, cheap freight and very high fuel. I've make a couple trips into Utah, but only if I have enough onboard to get in, drop and get back out without buying there. Next there'll be a camper shortage in CA so the price of them will go up cause nobody will deliver there. Already happening in Indiana, They're pregnant with inventory, want the haulers to drop and run back to them empty so they can deliver more of the Indiana backlog units. Fat Chance.

I filled up last week, Wheatland CA, I was low $2. 249, went by the same station this morning, $2. 499.



Where do you guys fill up in Sac/Roseville. I use the Safeway station, corner of Sierra College and Douglas, it tends to be a little cheaper.

West Coast

I have been watching Flying J's website a lot because it lists fuel prices, and for some reason the West Coast is getting ripped with the ridiculous prices much worse than the rest of the US for some reason. I haven't heard on the news why we are getting special treatment and why we are being served up a massive 40-70 cent per gallon premium on top of what most of the US is paying This has to be the most dramatic price spread between geographic regions in history and there is no rhyme or reason for it. That's quite a spread between $1. 47 available in Virginia and $2. 29 in California. . . 82 cents worth

I have heard that the refinery's are cutting diesel production to make more gas. Something about they can only put out so many barels a day be it x amount of diesel and z amount of gas they have desided that gas is wining out and the rest of us must suffer. All I can say is for once its good to live in ny. Diesel in most places around is 1. 85 and at a hess near by it is 1. 77.

Ya'll making me just about every time I go by the stations I use Shell or HEB they are up,down,up,up,down,up,up,up on there price. 1. 599 now

Local Shell station was $2. 47 2 days ago. Was $2. 52 today. There is no up-down here, only up! And they blame it all on rising crude costs when Chevron profits were up 33 % the first quarter.



Just watch the profits on all the oil companies go up for the first few quarters this year. Probably a good time to buy oil stocks.

Don't know what the price per gallon was but I spent over $80 to fill up. I have finally parked the truck and am "sporting it" in a complete piece of I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER 84 Fiero that has body parts damn near falling off and a terrible engine miss. And no AC while the body color is mostly black with the hood being primer because the paint decayed. But hey, the thing gets 30 mpg and takes unleaded to boot.

Do I miss my truck... ... . of course. But I would miss the cash in my wallet a hell of a lot sooner. On the bright side I am not putting miles on my truck.

Moderator- I don’t want to turn this topic into a political statement but something has to be said.



I personally think that the price of fuel will stay high and climb higher all summer long. Mr. Bush has to pay for his war someway. Also Bush, Cheney, Halliburton (sp?) and their other oil cohorts will in the meantime make BILLIONS. Then in Sept or Oct the price will suddenly drop a FEW cents/gal to ensure Bush’s re-election. That way we are supposed to think that we are getting a “GOOD” deal! However the price after the election will still be considerably higher than it was last winter/spring. Get accustomed to it! It fells so good to get SHAFTED!



I may be wrong but that is the way that I see it!



BTW- Diesel here is $2. 08, unleaded is $1. 98

I'll pay 1. 85 if im gullible enough, 1. 7 if I go to the right places. Minneapolis. I've got a V10 also, and something tells me that truck might start to collect a little dust.
