I did point that out, maybe could have been more articulate. There is a spring incorporated in the air spring, though just a lighter duty than without the option, as I was told.
Not true, if you get the airbags only and manually adjust the pressure, half the cost.

I did not say manual. I would never have them.
Fair comparison is what I had to the factory. Better yet an auto level setup. Both cost as much as OE.

I have been wondering about the difference in the 2 Cummins engines, SO & HO.
I think the SO has higher compression, better efficiency?

The SO does have higher compression for 2019+. The increase in compression could be why some are seeming more DEF consumption.

The lower compression in the H.O. allows it to run more boost and timing while keeping cylinder pressures down.

So the higher compression makes higher combustion temperature which makes more NOX, which uses more DEF?
I was just wondering what the Cummins point was of having different compression ratios.

Potentially yes. There are several variables in the scenario for NOx production, but generally higher compression leads to higher cylinder pressures.

I've wondered that myself. Not as many of the motors are HO, maybe 1/3 but probably less, so what do they gain from having 2 manufacturing lines. There are multiple marine variants so maybe it's not that big of a deal for Cummins. I'd need to look, but I doubt the pistons on the HO are only used on the Ram HO.
