Just replaced the door gaskets. Of course neither door will close by about 1/4" to 3/8" now. #@$%! There seems to be no adjustment at the stricker on the B pillar. Is the latch inside the door adjustable? It takes all my weight to push the door flush with the side panel.

Both doors need to be a little tighter at the top edge,(before the new gaskets also). I must be too dumb to understand the manual or I am not finding what I need. What is the procedure for adjusting these doors?

Thanks.

The striker on my 97 is adjustable on the B-pillar? I think the striker itself loosens with a large Torx bit. I'd have to look to be sure. But I know the striker is adjustable and the door latch is not. I had to do the hinges on my driver door. I'm not a body guy, so it was trial and error for me.

The adjustment for the latch plate is a torx. Don't get it too loose and try to site it each time to make sure you didn't go to high or low. You don't want to hit the door sheet metal.

When I adjusted my 01, I used a floor jack to support the door and then loosened the hinge bolts. You have to be very careful and move in small increments or you will end up with a professional body mechanic doing the adjustment for you.

Finally, if it is out at the top on both sides and the hinge adjustment doesn't work, the top of the door can be pushed or pulled in. A dealer mechanic did it on mine and it worked. Scared the heck out of me when he did it. Make sure the window is down.
