Competition 1/8 mile times

Competition Nos

Throw a new twist in there... ... ... how about Max power without changing anything, injectors ect.

Just drive it to the dyno like from out of town and run on the dyno then drive home.

Actually the geographical center point of the USA is just west of Castle Rock S. D.

Here are the Lat/Long extremes for the USA:

Northernmost point: Point Barrow, Alaska 71°23' N 156°29' W

Easternmost point: West Quoddy Head, Maine 44°49' N 66°57' W

Southernmost point: Ka Lae (South Cape), Hawaii 18°55' N 155°41' W

Westernmost point: Cape Wrangell, Alaska (Attu Island) 52°55' N 172°27' E

Justin: Unfortunately, I don't think there is a definitive or well defined answer to your question. I will, however, offer the following observations.

I have seen what roughly 550hp/4200rpm looks like pulling a sled... and then I have seen what xxxxhp/5500+rpm looks like pulling a sled. It's pretty clear to me that Scheid is making the most power in the sled pulling arena.

Mitchell doesn't count anymore because they've started practicing the exact opposite of what they have been preaching for so long: "No whining. "

The guy with the $100k Scheid powered Ford doesn't count either. He's trying to buy respect and caused nothing but headaches in the process.

In the 'streetable' class of high HP trucks - you have Andy, George, MADDOG, Scott and a few others... making some VERY respectable HP numbers without drugs. We can't forget Doug making obscene power with drugs.

The truck that Kendrick has been building is very interesting... . since all 3 turboes are ball-bearing, there's almost a snowball's chance in heck that they'll spool and make some decent power. If anything, this truck is in the running for one of the most controversial and discussed trucks in recent history... not to mention a plumber's nightmare.

The opinions expressed in this post are not meant to start any (more) controversy, nor were they intended to get anyone's underwear in a bunch. They represent my opinions, which I believe to be the truth. It's not my fault if some people can't handle the truth.

Matt - already wearing an 'exposure suit'... getting ready for flames.

You sure Mark is doing this truck? I thought he had given up the reins.

Yea, I guess I need to work on my 717 HP with the 19 MPG and a 880 miles round trip to Houston, makes me wonder now If I had worked on it that morning I might have found my issue... ... . at least one of them.

CSutton, your coming up with some good ones there:D

Hammer:

Heh buddy, I am doing well, how about you?? Well, looks

like Joe did respond to my question. What I heard must

just be a another "bad rumor" huh??:D Next time I see

Mark Chapple I will ask him about it!

--------

Joe:

Not to get too far off the subject or anything, but I gotta

tell you I was pretty surprised to see you had bought a

new Third Generation CR Dodge CTD!! I thought you

were the "diehard" P7100 pump/12 valve man and fan???

At least that is what I gathered from you when we last

talked at the TDR Rally in Colombus. BTW,..... I read your

article on the new third generation trucks in Issue 43

TDR Magazine. On page 59 you said; "Now we are

starting with 305 horespower (about 280 horespower

to the ground on the Dynojet dynamometer). Is that

"stock" H. P. or with a fueling box??? Just wondering

because out here (at about 20ft above sea level)

we are only seeing between 235-245 RWHP on the

"stock" 305 engines!! That is also on a Dynojet!

Dennis did set the dhra record with NOS at I believe 12. 19, but I set the record diesel only at 11. 28. ;)

Hey guys quit the fighting.

We all know who has the most power and it is not anyone of you.

Its Kent Crowder's Scheid diesel monster that none of your trucks even come close to.

John,

That is the west coast correction factor. It is stock, know how I can tell?

Because if they mod it at all, the correction factor puts a SIX (6) in front of the 80.

Its not needed yet Justin, but it is getting close.

I think alot of guys are nipping at the big HP trucks heels. It will be interesting to see how the dyno rips go out there.

Here on the TDR,the trucks we know,Snowman has the flat nastiest combo truck period. The things John does with it borders on pure insanity to most owners. Others can lay claim to the best sled puller or the highest hp/fastest et,BUT,NO ONE has yet to try and match John's overall performances.

You know,One only has to wonder why the Valley's heavy hitter and person who started this thread took his new ride instead of "Sickly" to the Cummins Pulloff at the "Strip In Vegas".

I would like to see the "Raw"numbers from the Vegas event not just the corrected ones. I believe that the altitude correction that the dyno software uses is not applicable to our trucks.

Doug

hello

We all know what you did but their is a few forgotten guys that never get mentioned thats all I am saying. But when it comes to the end of the track it is not going to matter drugs or not et is the game
