Mag-Hytec vs. OEM transmission pan

Yes, enhanced pressures will accelerate the demise of stock TC by ballooning the cover because it is stamped steel. Pressures combined withe the heat raise havoc even with a stock VB and heavy towing. Reason why a billet cover TC on a diesel is the first step in a build. No matter what you do to these trucks they are expensive to get the performance. I have run the standard commodity TC's then everyone and their dog sells and they are ok for the price, by far substandard to a good Goerend built unit though. A Goerend 900/400 is an amazing upgrade to the typical sloppy fluid coupling normally seen in commodity TC's, it just casts almost twice as much.

Towing heavy and in slow speeds, lockup switch is a must. You WILL torch the trans, not if but when. Any power add er over stock, do shift kit at a minimum. Stock VB build is barely adequate for stock power an normal usage, if you really work it hard the trans will not live long.

Hers is the link to HTS http://www.htstransmissions.com/. Friend of mine that ran a fleet of trailer delivery trucks used him exclusively for trans repairs.
