Do boxes like the Quad tow and Edge EZ leave a telltale trail in the computer?
not that I am aware of...
Cause it is all about fooling the ECM. .

Doesn't matter whose programmer.
Ask your dealer.

I have been on the TDR for a fair amount of time and every year this topic come us. It all goes back to one statment.
If you bomb you are your own warranty station, end of story.
Don't try to lie, cheat or otherwise mislead the dealer, its not the right thing to do. You decided to play, now you have to pay.
Depends if the dealer is going to lie ,cheat and steal from me .

Just so I understand you correctly Mr. Branch, what you are saying is that YOUR honesty and integrity is based upon the honest and integrity of others??? Well, to each their own I guess but that's not how I was raised. "Situational Ethics" won't help me any when I look in the mirror at the end of the day.
Sorry if that offends, but some of the posts in this thread just blow me away!!

The third gen Smarty will NOT reset the "key on counter" exactly as the second gen one. There's more to the third gen's ECM's... 3rd gen Smarty will not reset the trip / total distance statistics , Smarty will keep the engine load % statistic within "normal" parameters. That's what I call homework.![]()
A tech will not be able to see anything out of normal in an ECM that's been updated with a Smarty if the stock software has been flashed into the truck prior to service.
We have just worked all over the weekend on those. Smarty's firmware is now being implemented for it. A TON of work!

It is wonderfull to see that there are still two such wonderfully pious idividuals left in this world and its too bad that that we are all not that way as it would be such a lovely and loving world to live in. Live and let live and Be carefull about casting the first stone.
